So no one should fight anyone who has a loss? Why fight "leftovers"?
    You ****ing twat.

Canelo is fighting Lemieux because it´s an in house fight for GBP, winnable for Canelo and Lemmy has name value.

Dude, I was clowning the Floyd fans (who are all Drugnelo fans now) who always screamed about Pacquiao fighting his leftovers.

it is absolute arrogance for Canelo to accept Lemmy, 3Gs arguably best win, as an easy staybusy fight.

Golovkin fought Lara's leftovers and dropped the IBF title.

Canelo's not calling it a staybusy fight, that's what fans on here are calling it, and they're wrong. Lemieux is a very dangerous fight, he's probably the biggest puncher at MW besides GGG that Canelo could fight.

Why does Golovkin selling out his IBF title for a big Canelo payday - def open to criticism - justify Canelo fighting Lemeiux when there tons of better fights out there for him.

Here are a few - Jacobs, BJS Andrade winner, Charlo, Golovkin again, Murata, Derevyanchenko. That's 6 guys the boxing world would rather see him fight than DL.

Hell, I'd even rather see CEJ get a crack than Lemeiux.

It's **** fight and you know it. Beating an Irish level LMW shouldn't earn him a shot a Canelo. Stop trying to justify this BS and call it out for what it is.

That's true, Canelo should easily outbox him. But,,,,Lemieux hits harder than Golovkin and Canelo's power won't bother Lemmy . He doesn't box or move as smoothly as Billy Joe so this fight will probably go 12 and if Canelo takes a break he could get dropped. I'd make Canelo a 5 to 1 favorite, but Lemmy is a very live under dog

Agree with the OP for many reasons. For one it gives Canelo a bit of a break, secondly it allows him to avoid Jacobs, BJS, and Dere for at least a year.

Honestly, I'd favor at least 2 of those 3 to beat Canelo.

But, by getting a Lemmy fight in May then pushing GGG 3 to next September, Canelo gets a ton of money while staying away from the most dangerous challenges in the division.
