What was the reaction to DAZNs first big card?

Get a chromecast mate and stick it in the back of your tv. Well worth it for Youtube alone, but an essential purchase if you're to get the most out of streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, DAZN etc...

 

I would've loved something like that when I was in the States. Trying to find football (soccer if you must) was a bit of an ordeal at times. Though I did used to enjoy my 6am pint...

 

Picture quality was very good for a stream though it did have to stop to load a few seconds every now and again, but it didn't skip ahead so no harm. So far I like it, Price disappointed, and Okolie was so awful I was able to finish the football (or handegg as you people call it) game I was interested in. The Mendy fight was a bit boring but at least it was a meaningful fight. Main event delivered but I can tell you US fans cannot stand these 30 minute ring walks, its over the top and cringeworthy.

 

Oh there's at least one person on this side of the pond that agrees with you wholeheartedly.

 

Respect to Okolie, huge respect. I was really tired on Saturday, had a long tough day and his fight forced me into the best nap I had in years, thank you.

 

It was a quality card on paper.

Okolie was a disgrace though and I was gutted for Price, so those two fights soured it a bit, but it was actually a really competitive card

 

I watched many big events on DAZN even before this weekend.

 

This **** happens everywhere.
They should announce fighter A - do the ring walk.
Announce fighter B - do the ring walk.

Minor hype announcement and get the fight going.

We dont need to hear the fighters announced twice. We dont need to hear all of the officials. (just have the names on screen). We dont need the national anthems.
Just get them in the ring and start the fight asap.

 

They should be suspended above the ring in a giant net and dropped down en masse. No ringwalk songs, just a barbarian hitting a massive gong. Then its essentially Thunderdome till a winner emerges.

 

Is that another monthly bill? My other streaming stuff works reasonably well and not sure I want to give them more money every month. Have been thinking alot about dumping cable though...I'm on the fence.

Anybody that reads this, I would happily take advice on a suite of streaming services to replace cable. I really don't watch much on cable anymore except boxing.
