3 miles is def not bad. I’m jelous you guys are able to get up this early and run, coz my circadian rhythm is absolutely off , it’s almost 3am in NY and I’m still up and I know I’ll have to wake up by 9 , coz I have meeting at 10. No 3 mile run for me in the morning, I normally go to the gym 10-11pm.

 

Who's the cruiser? I remember that one time Golovkin iced a future heavyweight in Nobuhiro Ishida, but who's the cruiser?

 

I remember people were pissed when Hopkins lost to Taylor too. I don't know if I ever watched those but the story goes BHop got robbed twice in a row.

Jacobs was a middleweight his whole career.

A big one? Yeah. But not McClellan or Pavlik big.

Nobody lined up a Cruiserweight in a conspiracy to beat Golovkin. Jacobs was a top fighter in the division and to his credit gennady fought him.



I've never seen this type of behavior by any other fan community in boxing, it's like GGG's actual career isn't good enough so you try to invent your own parallel universe in which he beat a Cruiserweight and Canelo apparently had "roided concrete handwraps" as some other idiot said.

 

I think it probably does,I’ve been away since that fight with no internet so I’ve not heard the fallout from that fight,needless to say most newspaper articles I read all had Golovkin winning that fight.
Big problem for me and I’ve said this before is that because of what’s gone on before with Canelo scorecards it’s hard to believe anything.Canelos win is not a problem for me as he fought his socks off but I do have a problem with his opponents having only the chance of a draw or a loss on the cards.........that’s just flat wrong as Golovkin could of won three more rounds and would only of gotten a draw at best.

Ultimately Canelo has drawn and won against a guy who is at the end of his career,such is boxing.

 

The thing is that GGGs career was pretty damn good and most people admit he was ducked until his early 30s but the over the top hero worship where you construct a different universe where Canelo was using plaster of Paris and Jacobs is on PEDs(no proof provided, apparently 175-180lb at 6 feet is no longer attainable naturally) is just crazy and reflects badly on GGGs actual accomplishments, because when you have to disprove the fantasy construct it takes away from GGG being a HOF caliber fighter

 

Stevens fought at LHW. No idea if any GGG opponents ever fought at cruiser other than Ishida.

Golovkin is the 1st Iron chinned brutal powerpunching middleweight wrecking machine that was afraid to stand and trade with a featherfisted former jr middleweight.

 

There are extremes on both sides.
You can pick apart Canelos resumee just as easily, especially if you look at the absurd amount of outrageously favorable scorecards he got it in competitive fights.

To me the fact he dropped 4-5 rounds to a 35 year old Cotto who had taken more beatings than Jake Lamottas Wife, while himself looking like the incredible hulk with 15 lbs of muscle on Cotto shows that Canelo is on the same level as trout and Lara.

Very good fighter but Marketing, "luck on the scorecards" and Matchmaking have elevated him to the HOFlevel he is at now.
