How many undefeated guys that were in their 20's and were starving for paycheck did floyd fight? Or did he just fight a bunch of guys in their 30's that already made some money in boxing and had a name? Its a different game when you're fighting a guy with 0 losses, can barely afford to eat/live, maybe just had a kid and is hungry for victory.
Not too many guys wanted to fight him in their primes either. I'll post the video proof later. This content is protected Called out: Nassem Hamed even said he would meet him at 128 Jose Castillo Casamayor Kostya Tszyu Paul Spadafora Lascano Mosley De La Hoya Larry Merchant has always been a ******* and a bigot. He never questioned that bum Gatti like he did Mayweather, Judah and others. NEVER!!
How many of those kind of guys were about in Floyd's era? Who were these starving would be sensations looking to feast on Mayweather?
Fights a guy in his low twenties - "to green and inexperienced" Fights guys in their low thirties - "not young and hungry"
I don’t like Floyd. But the outcome against Pacquiao/Cotto/Mosley would have been the same earlier. But he was ducking Khan. Khan was a very dangerous match up for him. He was easily outboxing the offensive fighters.
This has always been my knock on him. And the Floyd huggers can crow all they want. I was around to watch his whole career unfold. He cherrypicked and dodged, waited until guys were on the downslope. Much like Canelo today.
Canelo but according to to the haters he was green lol. Judah was a young hungry guy. Not Floyd's thought he lost to Baldomir
Hell, look at his first 17 fights. That's 1/3 of his fights. His first real professional fight was against Genaro Hernandez who was 32 at the time and it was his last fight. Corrales was a good win. I thought Castillo beat him. I thought DLH beat him. His last 3 fights have been jokes. The McGregor fight shouldn't even have been recognized as a professional bout.
