That's true, but he's never had a ppv, and is not near as well known as Ward was who couldn't crack 300K buys total in 2 tries I don't see how Wilder will top it. If a more well known Ward in 2 big fights, Ward vs Kovalev 1 & 2 can only do 165K & 125K I'll be surprised if Wilder can match either number which are both low.

Im pretty sure deep down Eddie knows Finkel isnt going to be too proactive on these negotiations until after the Fury fight, personally i dont think Finkel is going to be too helpful after it as i just dont think Finkel wants his man in with real challenges. But Eddie atleast wants to get the ball rolling.

This is quite clearly not going to be happening in April. Finkel and Wilder are going to price themselves out of negotiations and are going to use the numbers from the Fury fight as their cover.

They are already making the demands of an A side.

How can Wilder negotiate terms before he sees how the numbers do vs Fury?

Should happen late next year in Vegas

The numbers? Let's start with the OUTCOME.

A lot of people seem to be sleeping on Fury.

And if the fight was to happen in the UK that would put in on PPV in the States in the late afternoon, early evening where it clashes with many more popular main stream sports. Its tough to ask alot of these sports fans to give up their football or basketball game for Boxings biggest PPV stars let alone somebody who isnt one yet.

Wait - are there people who actually think Wilder deserves 50/50 here? On what basis?

Finkel is just playing hard ball. He isn't going to be forced into negotiating before the Fury fight but again his refusal to meet Hearn and his clear tactic to not be easy to negotiate with is a road block to the fight happening. Hearn is wanting to dictate terms as the A-side and Finkel isn't budging or willing to show any inclination towards making the fight on anything but his terms. Suffice to say the chances of the fight happening any time are slim.

This idea that the B side can demand a rematch is ridiculous.

Should Parker of got a rematch clause vs AJ? Of course not!!!

The fight not happening because of this negotiating tactic cannot be blamed on Hearn. American fans wouldn't expect Mayweather to concede A-Side advantages to make a big fight. If Finkel won't even talk unless he gets his way then Hearn should just say **** you then and go about his business of making millions with Joshua without Wilder. Lennox never fought Bowe and his legacy was just fine, because he fought everyone else just like Joshua is doing.

    Why? This isn't a 50/50 deal.

I'll say again did you think Parker should of got a rematch clause in his fight vs AJ?

Not a chance Wilder is getting 50/50, just ain't going to happen because Joshua is a far bigger draw. They should aim for 60/40 and that might still be a push but I think that's a fair deal.

They should give Wilder a rematch clause, if it's close people will want to see it again and if Wilder gets destroyed he probably won't take the rematch straight away anyway, even if he did, just run with it, nothing to be scared about fighting a guy you blew out and if it takes a drop in buys then that would be balanced out by how big the first fight was anyway.
