WOW! one of the Smith brothers saying something stupid, there's a shock...

I know he's supporting his brother but that is just an absolutely moronic statement.

Degale, Chudinov, Eubank JR... i'd even throw Murray and Cox in there.
Plus he knocked out Paul in 2 rounds...

Especially as Liam has never won a "big" fight fairly...

He beat Liam Williams more than fairly.

And it’s not far from the truth.

Froch done him twice, Badou Jack (who I think is the blue print for Smith to do him). degale they were both kids. Chudinov any of our super middles would’ve beat him. Eubank is a pumped up middle who’s never done anything of note himself, Cox see previous and Murray was already shot.

Again I don’t mean to take anything away Groves as he’s a fantastic boxer. But it’s far from far fetched what Liam Smith said.

 

And ultimately that’s all that will matter. He will wake up on Saturday as champion still or Smith will be the new king.

 

Even the matchroom fan boys don't even know who smith is.

 

Maybe he got Groves mixed up with his brother Paul.

 

To be fair Groves should of lost on points to Degale. However overall it's a stupid comment by Smith, as you stated wins over Eubank, Chudinov and Murray is decent although not fantastic.

 

It an interesting fight Smith has been brought along nicely but Groves is a big step up .I have to admit whilst I am aware of George's plus and minuses but Callum hasn't been in the type of battles for me to judge just how is under the type of pressure Groves brings . Is that due to Smith being so good or the level of opposition? Fielding is decent but it was over too quick which was great for Smith of course but didn't answer all the question . His other most notable opponents Skoglund was meant to be decent , Blackledge OK ,Rebrasse (a common opponent) good standard. All will be revealed soon .

 

Real mixed bag the Smiths. You have Paul and Liam who especially on Twitter come across as two absolute bell ends, then you have Callum and Stephen who come across as two decent top blokes!!
