    1 GGG (close)
    2 Canelo
    3 Canelo
    4 GGG
    5 Canelo
    6 Canelo
    7 GGG (close)
    8 Canelo
    9 GGG
    10 GGG
    11 GGG
    12 GGG

    115-113 GGG

I am only one round different from one of the official judges and 10 rounds different from another. my first 6 rounds are the same as all 3 judges.

That's pretty much what I had it live. Haven't rewatched it yet, but I remember having Canelo winning the first half of the fight and GGG winning the second half more convincingly.

we will need to examine round 7 as that is a crucial round to give to GGG. you having the inverse of my rounds 8 and 9 is perfectly acceptable as I thought both of those rounds were pretty much toss-ups. round 11 needs to be examined as well.

Precise rounds immaterial really, the huge majority of people had Golovkin winning.

If he gets the decision we don't bother with this crap.

This is what we end up doing in incredulity at the official scorecards as if they are something serious with innocent mistakes rather than something corrupt which was bought and paid for.

Don't waste your time because the judges aren't, they're enjoying their thousands of dollars with a new car or a beach holiday laughing at the fans who actually give a damn about the sport.

    My card:

    1-ggg
    2-?
    3-ggg
    4-ggg
    5-?
    6-c
    7-c
    8-?
    9-ggg
    10-ggg
    11-ggg
    12-ggg

? indicates a swing round where it's difficult to pick a winner.

I ended up with a 8-4 score to Golovkin.

    Round 5 really isn't a Canelo round.

I had it a swing round but you may be right, it may be more GGG than Canelo. They both had their moments, although Golovkin seemed more consistent.

It's really helpful to score rounds without the context of the whole fight. Since the 4th round was so clear for GGG, one tends to expect more of the same the next round. Same goes for round 12, which wasn't actually that close but Canelo came back a little bit.

Round 4 was much clearer for GGG than Round 11 was. Round 11 was an extremely close round which needs further review. Here's what happened in Round 11 that caused a lot of fans (and all 3 judges) to score it for GGG : In the middle of the round, with about 1:45 left in the round, GGG landed a series of heavy one-twos, some really good right hands on Canelo. These were great shots by GGG and for about a 10-15 second period he looked like he had Canelo in trouble. Canelo did look tired at that point, this was a big moment where GGG landed several flashy punches on Canelo that caused the crowd to rise up out of their seat. It was a great moment for GGG however Canelo fired right back with a hard overhand right, and after this sequence by GGG, after those moments by GGG in the middle of the round, Canelo proceeded to take the fight to GGG for the 2nd half of the round walking him down landing a number of clean punches and finished the round strong. GGG was not active enough in the 2nd half of the 11th round for me, and while you could argue that the sequence in the middle of the round was enough for GGG to win that round, I can't ignore what happened in the 1st minute where Canelo was just outboxing him and in the 2nd half of the round which was great work from Canelo. In the first minute of round 11 you saw Canelo retreating for what may have been the only time in the rematch, he even went back towards the ropes momentarily about a minute into the round, but Canelo was outboxing him over that first minute and landed the better harder punches. We saw Canelo land some stiff jabs while GGG barely landed anything clean in that first minute.

So when scoring the 11th you have to decide what was better Canelo's consistency, higher work rate in the first minute and in the 2nd half of the round or GGG's big moment in the middle of the round with the series of heavy one-twos. What GGG did there was great, but Canelo controlled the remainder of the round and it's hard to give someone a round who lost 2:45 seconds of a round just because he had an awesome 10-15 second spurt.

Surely the judges and a lot of fans just remember what GGG did in the middle of that round and give him the round because of it, but if you look what Canelo did in the remainder of the round it looked more like a Canelo round than a GGG round especially with how well Canelo did down the stretch. I have no problem with you or anyone else giving GGG that round, but it definitely wasn't a clear GGG round or as clear of a GGG round as Round 4.

I thought Canelo won round 11 down the stretch, but GGG definitely had the best 10-15 second sequence of the round with those series of heavy one-twos in the middle of the round. How well Canelo took those shots though and how quickly he respond to fight back with shots of his own was also impressive. Lets be real plenty of fighters would have went down or been stopped by those GGG one-twos, but Canelo took them like a champ and controlled the rest of the round so I have to credit Canelo for that. The compubox numbers were even that round with both fighters credited with landing 18 punches.

I heard years ago that promoters were having dinners with the officials and i found it so ridiculous that i kinda called BS.
Atlas to say again that this is a common occurrence is just disheartening.

GGG had the best sequence AND did most of the work. The punch stats are not correct in this round (also not in the 12th). Canelo was more sporadic.
