Porter was the WBA world champion in his weight class. An older Mayweather struggles against Porter. Same with Thurman.

He never attempted to unify because some of the bigger name fighters did not hold a piece of the WW championship.

For example Usyk unified. If you're going to campaign in a weight class for over a decade you might as well clean out the division.

Mayweather didnt fight Williams or Porter or Thurman or Brook or Margarito.

And this whole coming off a loss recently is not the whole point. Plenty of fighters lose against one man and then bounce back shortly after against another.

Styles make fights. And FMJ does not like pressure. And what kind of fighters were Porter, Margarito and Williams? It's just too convenient

And like I said Pac ducked Thurman, Porter, Brook too. And there is a reason for this. Nobody wanted them.

We are listening numbnuts. I acknowledge the business side of boxing. But this is also sport. When a man is a world champ in your weight class you try and knock him out. Pure and simple.

PBF actually loves pressure especially the type of non educated pressure Williams Margo and Porter bring. :deal:

Williams fought dumb giving up his height and length fighting on the inside and was easy to hit.

Margo a disgraced cheat who had no jab and zero defense slow as ****. If cotto could outbox and shut Margo out for half the fight until Margo's wraps got hard then PBF who doesn't fade and doesn't get hit nearly as much as Cotto wouldn't have lost a round to him.

Porter back then sure he was physical but that was all he had. He was crude had no jab smothered his own work and could be easily outboxed.

Brook was going life and death with Carson Jones was a nobody in America despite beating Porter another nobody. That fight was never going to happen. What other top WWs fought Brook back then?

I already explained to you about Thurman.

Cotto punches way harder than Pac or FMJ do. And when Pac fought a past prime Margarito he was ruined afterwards. Dont count out Margaritos size and workrate. Same with Williams.

FMJ fought 3 pressure fighters in his career. Hatton, Castillo and Maidana. And 2 of them he went life and death with. No doubt Porter, Williams and Margarito walking him down weighed on his mind. He simple chose to not fight them.

It's a sport and a business. For example Pac fought JMM in 2004. From a business perspective it was the worst fight he could take. From a sport perspective the best he could take by far.

He actually fought more than that. JLC is an educated pressure fighter he gave PBF problems because he actually worked behind a jab subtle defense cut the ring and went to the body. None of those guys fight like JLC or are as skilled as him.
PBF was cut early in the first fight with Maidana and it bothered him. He was also 37 past his prime when he fought Maidana he was not prime when he fought Maidana and was in his 4th weight class. Stop acting like PBF was prime in that fight.
PBF shut Hatton out and barely trained for that fight as he was doing dancing with the stars and training for that fight at the same time. With that said Hatton's ability to close the distance with his quick feet made PBF work but it also brought out the best in him to. Pick your poison.:deal:
Lastly Margo doesn't have the foot speed to walk PBF down he's too slow and too easy to hit and he's a slow starter not only that we don't know how good he really was because he's a glove loading cheat after he got busted he never beat a fighter of note again let that sink in.

Yes he was past his best against Maidana. But he would have been past his best against Thurman, Porter and Brook too. And Williams and Margo are just so ****ing big and relentless that they could give prime Floyd problems.

And you're still bitter that the man you hate retired undefeated and proved your dumbass wrong every time he stepped foot in the ring.

What you fail to realize is that every year Pac had a birthday, so did Floyd. When he did finally school Pac, he was still the older fighter. The only reason he jacked Mosley's jaw was because he jumped in the ring and fronted him off. After that whoopin, Mosley was riding his jock strap like he was in love.
