When will Floyd Mayweather get Andrew Tabiti a title shot? He is 16-0 with 13 ko's. Is Tabiti waiting for all the titles to get vacated? If Bellew or Usyk win neither one will defend the titles at cruiserweight. I think all 4 titles will be vacant then maybe Tabiti can fight Gassiev.
I've been a Tabiti fan for years :/, what are you trying to imply? Also I usually support my own countrymen, anything wrong with that?
I think Tabiti is getting underrated here. This isn't a pick I"d put money on, but I think he definitely has a chance. Have you forgot his fight with Tapia? Tapia was hyped like a motherfudger and we know what happened.
Not caring about an underrated division for years and suddenly hopping on when a fighter that suites your tastes has a stake. You seriously don't see anything wrong with that? What's special about Tabiti either? What makes you think he has what it takes to be elite at the division? Based on his laboring with a washed up Cunningham and in general i just don't see it.
Who said I don't care about the cruiser division? I just think it was extremely overrated. I watched almost all of the big cruiser fights the past couple years. Well Tabiti handled Tapia who was supposed to beat him, don't underestimate the guy. I've followed his career for more than half a decade.
Yes. Tabiti is definitely waiting to pick up a vacant title, since he's very beatable, so waiting for a vacant belt is the easiest way for Tabiti to become a champ while still staying undefeated. Also, Tabiti's durability looked very suspect against a shot Cunningham. Tabiti's best bet is to avoid punchers.
Except it's far from overrated lol. It might have a cult following among hardcore fans, but it's obscure to most people. Never saw anything in Tapia tbh. The only promising new US CW post Cunningham was Hunter and he moved up to HW.
The only way Tabiti beats Gassiev is via an Isiah Thomas like DQ, and the fight would play out in a similar manner, with Tabiti's head nearly being removed from his body. And yeah, i know what happened, Tapia who was totally untested at the time and since and he got in there and ran Tabiti close in almost every round of the fairly even fight, and lost wide, what a shock. Tabiti was always the favorite there. I picked him.
I don't know that Tabiti is better at least significantly than Thomas. That would probably be a pretty competitive fight.
Agree completely, they're around the same level, Tabiti's power might be better. They should make the fight in fact, no guarantee who'd get the win there. They should've put Tabiti in there with Hunter before he moved uo to HW.
