Don't imagine the 1910's guys moving in a time machine forward but how about the 2000's guys moving in a time machine backward... Either way, I try to go exclusively on-paper achievement with it and ultimately feel there should be some balance of eras represented. "Old timers" rate so high to so many relative to modern era because of the number of top notch guys faced. That's a big deal when ranking in any way using accomplishment.

No you're wrong, it's more nuanced than that and they should be included; as they were classed as HW's in their time period. It's not a H2H, who would beat who, list--in fact there is a large degree of PFP here. That element is inescapable. Of Course HW'S are vastly bigger now.....and Louis and Marciano couldn't live with LL or Vitali.... But the OP is asking for a list ranking HW's who were classed as HW'S in their era. Was Marciano more formidable at 190lb than Wlad at 245? type thing. Look at it that way if it helps.

Bellew is the only historically relevant name to put here.
The rest are fighting for second place.

You're an imbecile. I rank Lewis well above him, and explained my reasoning for Vitali. Also forum polls have a healthy minority of fans, about 30%, ranking Vit as a top ten HW. Its a minority, but not extreme, position. Wlad beat alot more topish opponents but his best wins were arguably less impressive than Vitalis and his losses were MUCH worse than Vitalis.

First of all I didn't ask you anything about Lewis, *****
So tell me ******, who are the hall fame fighters that Vitali beat? I don't give a **** how a fighter looks beating a scrubs, the only thing that matters is how he looks beating the upper tier of the division you ****ing idiot. Your Vitali is 0-2 against the 2 best heavyweight he ever fought. That he held some plastic green belt don't mean ****. He quit against Byrd and Lewis carved his face up. These are facts so don't get triggered and start being disrespectful you ****ing ****.

Who are the deserving hall of famers Dempsey beat? Sullivan? Jeffries? Wlad? Patterson? Who are the prime Hall of famers Tyson, Holmes, many other beats? There are a lot of metrics that go into ranking HW ATGs. Your simple minded focus on "beating an ATG" is illogical and not present in many other ATGs. Vitali's accomplishments are more than enough to enter him into the top ten debate, and past forum polls have demonstrated that. You are and will remain an irrational moron. And, in case you are too stupid to appreciate it, your A. tone, initially, and B. response; began and then escalated any "disrespect".

And that's all he did at HW, with a few exceptions. ATG LHW, yes. HW top 25? Certainly not.
