Smith floored Johnson had him down, and his manager halted the action.

This " defense " didn't prevent a guy on a bad losing streak like Ross from hurting him, a much smaller man like O'Brien from out boxing him, or a much smaller man like Ketchel from flooring him. Baer would blow out Ross or Ketchel, as they had no defense and were easy to hit.

People at ring side said Johnson looked dazed after he got up to KO Ketchel, and Johnson's testimonial himself said his jaw was never so sore.

Wlad went the longest among champions not to be floored, no one says he had a good chin. Simply sated Johnson fought zero men in their prime who were heavyweight punchers above 170 pounds from much of 1901-1914.

Johnson did not fight Smith, Langford, Jeannette, McCarty, or Mcvey from 1909-1914, those guys would be the best puncher he faced aside from Willard who knocked him out.

If Baer is motivated like he was vs Carnera or Schemling, I think he wins in a 15 round match. But Baer was lazy in the ring, not quite as lazy as Johnson though. Baer's reach, size and power would have Johnson on the outside.

    He didnt knock him out.
This is what you said ,and its a barefaced lie which you knew it was when you typed it.
"Choysnki knocked him cold, Gun Boat Smith in a 4 round exhibition match did the same."

Just as you know it was a spar not a match but deliberately keep lying about it..
Johnson was so dazed when he got up he ko'd Ketchel for 12 minutes with the first punch threw!
    You're a joke.
McGrain peged you just right the other day.

Jack Johnson has a number of posters who undermine him at every opportunity and is the subject of the most persistent hater in the history of this forum
