What I do think is Smith has always made weight comfortably so him moving up isn't a good idea when he's just beat the number 1

I come here for boxing, not to have to listen to your giant ego scrape against others every weekend when I come here to discuss boxing.

 

By the time this final came around some people maybe felt that the SMW WBSS didn't include the the very best SMWs in the division

But as fans I think we should agree that when it comes to entering the WBSS the fighters who have belts or are ranked 1,2,3....the ones who aren't demanding that their promoters put them in......they don't care about being number 1

I wanted Groves to win...but fair play to Smith...he is the no.1 at 168lb....no dispute

 

I'm not saying it is ban worthy. I just think a lot of people would describe someone of his size fighting at 168 a weight bully. Zurdo has similar accusations thrown at him as do a lot of others.

And I'd also say that I'm against big weight cutting as it does lead to some fights in which guys simply don't have a chance and in reality are being allowed to flout weight limits.

 

I'll have to watch it again as I as getting ready for work & missed the KO but I had Groves winning every round through 5, some close but still Groves.

 

Thank goodness I stayed away, most thought groves would win this easy. I had a bad feeling, was close to pulling the trigger on a 200 bet.
