Been obvious for years now he was, by miles, the best Smith brother and was a dead cert to become a world champion. Smith, Joshua and Luke Campbell all looked like future world champs around the same time - say early 2013ish. Luke Campbell still has a ways to go, but still potential there.
?? First top fighter he fought last night! He has plenty of time , but looking like fire ?? Not just yet
That was something a bit different from Smith last night. I would have expected him to be the busier fighter but he barely threw. It didn't look like he was doing anything flashy but he was clearly controlling the distance well and timing Groves which was impressive. Each time he landed clean Groves was buzzed a little. I think he will continue to be successful at SMW so long as he can make weight, as the division is not that deep. When he comes to move up to LHW it will be a real test.
He’s just beat the best super middleweight out there and convincingly. He’s far from an ATG but I certainly think he can unify the division. Not just that he doesn’t cut weight drastically. He’s an absolute monster.
We can do a bit better than that OP? Can't we? How about a - breakdown of the fighters he beat. How about some sort of justification for your thread title? You know? Remember? I do think it's a "star is born" type moment. I think he's headed to 175 though personally, and then we'll see.
Not hard enough to stop Holzken, Skoglund, Rebrasse and Sjekloca. It took him 10 rounds to stop Blackledge, the real question you should be asking is... How hard does Zach Parker hit?
