It might be heresy, but I wonder how much this accounts for Louis's abnormal dominance of an era with a Depression going on.

Nikolai Valuev would have beaten rocky marciano. blasphemy to most…..but fact remains: rocky would have Need a ladder just to Punch valuev in the nuts. and he outweighed him by 120 Pounds...….just too much Physics...

Holly Mims deserved the decisions against Joey Archer and Ruben Carter.
Eddie Cotton deserved the decisions in his first fights against Wayne Thornton, Johnny Persol, and Roger Rouse.

Mike when he was a little younger would have knocked out Douglas in 2 rounds. Douglas did not want to take any punishment and normally did not

Not that version of Douglas. The version of Douglas that faced Tyson was willing to walk through fire, since it was then or never for him.

Joltin Jeff Chandler would have embarrassed Lupe Pintor and also beat Wilfredo Gomez in the subsequent fight.

The Willie the Worm Monroe that beat Marvin Hagler was on that night the best Middleweight in the history of the world

    Embarrass Pintor? Ow.

Still, that's what this thread is for. Interesting pick.

I can’t remember if I posted it in here already, but I think Foreman v. Briggs was a decent enough decision. I think the outrage was due to (1) people scoring rounds for Foreman because Briggs looked tired and (2) people wanting Foreman yo win.

Lol, , but Young could bang, and was on par with Curry, McCrory, and Starling at one point. They probably were wary of him at some point as well.

If Starling gave Hearns fits before that unfortunate jaw incident, he has a very good shot at beating Tommy.

Saoul has more than enough experience to deal with Alexis and beat whatever version of Arguello that comes at him.

Chandler was good enough to take Fenech in a good fight.

Marvin could beat Ray, albeit a close one. Lesser fighters have taken Robinson at Middleweight.

If Tate nullifies Holmes' jab, he could possibly beat him.
