SMW has a lot of fun fights that can be made right now. Callum Smith David Benavidez Zurdo Ramirez Jose Uzcategui Are clearly the top 4 in no particular order. Then you have guys who can be competitive with these 4 in Caleb Plant George Groves Chris Eubank Jr Groves can definitely beat anyone but after a pretty bad stoppage we have no clue where he's at mentally, that's why I dropped him from the top 4.
For sure. I disagree with those who say SMW is one of the worst divisions. It's pretty decent actually it's just that the top guys don't fight one another....
Reminds me of the situation that CW faced in the late 2000s-early 10s. With Huck, YPH etc. not facing each other for whatever reason.
I think Smith is the #1 guy there now, but he's kind of in a Linares situation. Though Linares never beat a Groves. His win over Groves in that fashion clearly is the most impressive SMW win. I was rooting for Groves but before the fight I did say he's like Amir Khan, you never know when he's going to get stopped(though Groves has a way better chin still). You got guys like Eubank Jr who clearly isn't the most talented but would have absolute wars with a Uzcategui. Plant vs Benavidez would be really interesting imo. The top 3 fights I want to see right now are Smith vs Zurdo Eubank Jr vs Uzcategui Benavidez vs Plant
