Former Am Irish Am star Conor Wallace now based in Aust made a inauspicious debut
at Fortitude Valley with a tko over Aaron Sesay 1 - 5. Sesay down in the 2nd rd unable
to continue due to shoulder injury. Second fight in a row this has happened to Sesay.
Wallace slated to fight again Nov 10 .

i just saw a story on Irish boxing where Pascal claims that the knockout proved what a great chin Spike has.
He says the fact that spike got to one knee against a hugely rehydrated Lemieux shows he has a top chin.
I like the fact he has his fighters back but come on buddy

    Bigger disappointment after the fight.
He may have well talked himself into not getting paid.

What ever happened to Andy Murray? (the boxer, not the Scot!)

Ouch. I'd have thought the 'controversy' would be better for the promoters than the fight itself? At least they got some coverage out of it.

A standard part of the boxers contract states he will turn up having trained and with no serious injuries...otherwise he has to inform the promoter.
Jj said after he could not train or spar as he had a shoulder injury.
Promoters would be within their rights to withhold purse.

Ah, thanks. I hadn't seen the interview.

He doesn't look to have covered himself in glory. I read that bookies were withholding paying out after some suspicious betting activity around when the fight would end too.
