"If the lineal champion retires, dies or moves to another division, the vacancy is typically filled by a box-off between two or more top-ranked contenders."

Tyson Fury retired after winning the lineal title. Therefore the title currently is vacant. You can't reclaim the lineal belt by retiring and then un-retiring.

The lineal championship is vacant and no endless repetition of the promoters of Wilder vs. Fury changes that fact.

Stop crying...he's the lineal champ, he beat the man and hasn't been beaten, it's not complicated.

I agree...in terms of winning the fight, I think this is a more challenging fight and a tougher one for Wilder to win. Fury is going to make this ugly, he's going to jab and hold, he's going to use movement, he's going to be difficult to hit. AJ would be a fight in which he would be hit more and take more punishment but he has more avenues to victory with AJ than he does with Fury, IMHO.

By that logic someone will have to get Lennox in the ring if they want to become lineal champ, in fact Lennox would need to resurrect Marciano if he wanted to become the real lineal champ. So on & so on.

So let me get this straight. Wilder thinks Joshua is an easier fight than Fury? if that the case why is he fighting Fury then?

If your a world champion and you're given the choice of fighting 2 guys. The first one being Joshua (who hes says is easier) who holds all the other belts and you'd make hell of a lot more money fighting. Not to mention making some history in unifying the division.

Or fight Fury who you say is a tougher fight but holds zero belts and make less money fighting.... Knowing full well if you lose your gonna look bloody stupid and if you win people will say Fury was a shadow of his former self.... The Fury fight is a lose/lose fight for him.

He's kidding no one. He's running scared of Joshua because he knows fine well theres a very good chance he'd lose. Simple as that.

i agree with what he's saying, except the last sentence. The Fury who beat Wlad, probably would beat AJ on points, but who knows now? We don't know if he's still at that level or not. But style wise, he probably is a more difficult opponent than AJ

No...Fury is the lineal champ, not sure why this is an argument, he is the lineal champion.

No because the bolete's and agaricus are two different species of mushroom, you pesky mushroom casual.

I shall have some Boletus Edulis, Chanterelles and some prime saffron milkcap mushrooms with my fry up. You on the other hand, can have a portion of Amanita Muscaria and Amanita Phaloides.

Kids these days...Jackie Blackburn will be turning in his grave.

So what if Lennox un-retires. Is he then lineal champ, too? Fury never beat him, neither did Wlad.

If Fury sits back and throws 12-15 punches a round yes he can win a very boring UD.
