Wilder is very transparent and it's obvious he's trying to hype Fury up (meaning he knows as well as everyone else that Fury is not at his best right now, otherwise he wouldn't be telling such blatant and cringeworthy lies in the first place.) However, even this lower grade version of Fury still has a decent chance of boxing Wilder for 12 rounds and coming away with the win and I certainly fancy Fury's chances of accomplishing this more than any of Wilder's previous opponents. Truthfully speaking, I think Fury is getting KTFO and it's not going to be pretty. I'm not sure I'll even be able to bring myself to watch this fight.

Tyson Fury was still considered the LINEAL champion by RING magazine until February 2018 (THIS YEAR).

RING stupidly removed recognition from him even though Fury had begun training and said he was coming back. They waited a long time for him to come back, and then they removed recognition from him as he was about to announce his return. (Yet another in a long line of dumb decisions by Ring staffers.)

Within months of them removing recognition, Tyson Fury was back in the ring.

Fury will have had three fights in 2018, which makes him one of the most active heavyweights in the world.

He was still the LINEAL champ at the start of this year. Fighting three times, once for the WBC title, in no way disqualifies him from being the LINEAL champ.

If he beats Wilder, he'll be the WBC and LINEAL champ, and, on top of that, he'll have arguably the best resume of any heavyweight.

A dominant win over Wlad (who hadn't lost in 10 years) to lift the LINEAL title, a win over the undefeated Wilder (who hasn't lost in 10 years) for the WBC belt, two clear wins over Chisora (one by stoppage), and wins over the usual suspects in Hammer, Pianeta, etc.

That's better than wins over Povetkin and Parker.

Anyone arguing Fury ISN'T the LINEAL champ is just 'trying too hard to argue.'

He clearly is the LINEAL champ. He started this year as the LINEAL champ and he's entering his third fight this year as the LINEAL champ.

And the winner of this fight will be the LINEAL champ.

It's funny how people hyped up Haye despite being medically retired, yet make out Fury has forgotten how to fight due to going on a bender for x amount of months.

Like he has said himself he is 30 years old in his prime, has experience in big fights, effectively been in a training camp for the last 9 months.

He will come into the ring against Wilder in good shape for him . I think some people are going to be very surprised by how good he will be.

Fury gonna outbox him, but he might gonna get robbed as the fight will be in the States.
Wilder has strong promoters, he was ahead against Ortiz.

You are trying way too hard. Fury's cv isn't as good as AJ's.

As for the lineal champ argument. All I'm gonna say is the general public do not give a damn about some intangible title somebody claims after not fighting for nearly 3 years. The division moved on.

Or until the lineal champ retires. And Fury publicly announced retirement. So there.

    Champs retire all the time.

The protocol is to wait a while to make sure they aren't coming back.

Especially when the champ is in his 20s, which Fury was.

Tunney didn't come back. Rocky didn't come back. Lewis didn't come back.

Fury came back at the age of 29. And was in training for his comeback when RING stopped recognizing him. Which was really stupid on their part.

    He's the Lineal champ.

You don't strip a guy of the LINEAL title, and you certainly don't the YEAR he fights more times than any other top heavyweight.

Indeed, he did that to himself. He chose to retire all by himself.

I may well have some Muscaria :crazylick: but you can have the Phalloides (two L's, notice) and some Amanita Verna as well. Do you good.

Considering Joshua is in the past and hes done with him and this isnt about Joshua all im hearing regarding Fury Vs Wilder is stuff about Joshua. And Joshua like the true pro he is has said its a good fight and good luck to them both.

If Finkel was confident in his fighter beating Joshua he would of took the Wembley offer. Wilders certainly confident he thinks hes the best Boxer on the planet.

I read this different to most.

It looked to me as though Wilder & team wanted to be all mutually respect, calm and business like. Throwing in “he who shall not be named” as a common foe, ‘The enemy of my enemy’ and all that.

Fury looked as though he just thought, “screw this Im cranking this up, I need to get into Wilders head” so he jumped up and created a madhouse.

Possibly scripted but I’m not sure anyone can dictate how to behave to Fury so probably not.

I think Fury may have had his nose put out of joint by Wilder's reaction to Joshua being mentioned in the morning interview and felt like he was being looked past which he is.
