Name some of the opposition so we can break it down... I've already done this with another poster.... Povetkin and Klitcko are pretty good and parker too
Don't get me wrong guys, Lennox is an ATG... but I think many of us are suffering from Bruce Lee hero syndrome... where people think Bruce Lee would clean out the UFC today... AJ is a tough cookie, and he's got enough experience behind him now to put him very close to the finished article.
Kind of unfair to compare resumes when Lewis career is complete and Joshua is still building his legacy. While Pistal47 is right Lewis resume is much deeper that's to be expected but I'd say Joshua is ahead of Lewis at the same stage and age.
Povetkin and Klitschoko were old as **** and Povetkin isnt on par with many if any of LL's best wins. You already did this with another poster and it was ****ing trash so beat feet bro.
IMHO A prime focused Lennox Lewis is second only to prime Muhammad Ali. But when was Ali's prime ? We were denied nearly four years of Ali's prime for purely political reasons Imagine how great he could gave been Lennox would outbox AJ snapping out that piston jab then start throwing the vicious uppercuts finalkly landing that big overhand right & its Nite Nite AJ in 7
Beat feet? You are all talk no walk... you can't even name any names. Too shy? I couldn't care less how old Povetkin or Klitchko are... you analyse what your eyes see on fight night. Povetkin looked as fresh and nimble as a daisy... those shots would have put many lights out. And Klitchko looks fine to me as well as he was never really a mover anyway so how the **** does age come into play in this example??? Power is the last thing to go ask any pro boxer worth their salt. You gonna tell me Povetkin looked slow on fight night... please tell me and the internet what was wrong with Povetkins performance against Joshua?? How did being 39 hinder him on that night? Besides physical attributes isnt everything... experience gives you a huge edge as well... and povetkin and klitchko had that edge over joshua... experience can turn many competitions around against younger opposition. All talk bro... wikipedia is free.. go name me some names.
A prime Lewis beats the prime to date AJ, however we may have the best to come with AJ, only time will tell.
I think if we compared footage you'll see that.AJ has snappier uppercuts and combinations... And Lennox had long reach for his piston jab...and it was superior against shorter guys... but Joshua has reach too.. and as we saw with vitali ... when lennox faces opposition of similar stature and skill he finds himself on a level playing field. Go back and watch the Vitali Lennox fight and then substitute Joshua for Vitali... Joshua has more in his arsenal.. and is far snappier/ explosive with his punches.
I would not judge Lennox on his Vitali fight as he was 37 yrs old fighting Vitali 6 yrs younger , at his career heaviest and frankly not in the best condition, his original opponent Kirk Johnson withdrawing injured 3 days before the fight, Vitali who was on undercard stepping in as replacement, now on anyones cards Vitali was a massive upgrade in opponent at short notice (of course LL was upgrade for VK too), to the point in Vitalis next fight after Lewis he fought Johnson and despatched him in 2 rounds.
Unless LL comes in fat and hung over, having blown off Joshua as any kind of threat, Lewis KO9 Joshua.
Beat it bro. Youre calling all these dudes who would stretch Povetkin one dimensional and bigging up Povetkin like hes an animal. Get the feet beating kid.
