Spence is the best at 147. I’d favor him over Crawford (too small) and Thurman (too inactive). He’d probably be very successful at 154, but would not be able to hang at 160 for quite some time.
Crawford won't beat Spence, (and I'm very high on Crawford before I'm criticized of hating). Spence is basically already a 154'er. His frame wouldn't even really need to adjust. 160, maybe eventually. I'm not sold on it yet. I think he's too sturdy for Lubin and would walk him down. Charlo and Spence won't fight.
I can't believe that he has to move up when so many top welterweights fight with the same promoter, Hurd, Lubin, Charlo, Lara, Trout, Williams and Harrison faced each other but Thurman, Porter and Garcia are not interested in facing spence.
Well then he should make the fight with Crawford before he goes. Mikey Garcia could never find Crawford at 135 or 140 but now wants Spence and NOT Crawford. Spence is in a "stagnant" weight class but wants to move up without fighting Crawford. Who is running from who here?
I want Spence to fight Thurman before he moves up. The Crawford fight will be impossible to make so forget about it.
I question his readiness at 160 as well. It all comes down to is he good enough to give up the size advantage 2 weight classes up? It would help to see him standing next to one of the Charlos or GGG. Maybe he's actually plenty big and my perception is off.
