Marciano isn't exactly the poster boy for "healthy." His behavior concerning money is downright squirrely, and would be considered frankly kind of imbalanced. He was a bit of a nutter.

A lot of the great fighters from yesteryear died extremely young. If i’m honest, i am suspicious of more sinister motives although i can not prove it.

I still shed a tear at the tragic death of Battling Jim Johnson.

Foreman is probably doing ok. Tyson as crazy as he is finally seems to be settling down after blowing millions. It was sad to see Frazier at the end of his life as well.

Not really.....Marciano died young at 45. Bruno had/has mental problems and lives in a sanatorium.

He was never rich but he didn't suffer. He did philanthropic work and had his vanity stint in the coast guard.

I was going to mention Jofre. The first time he retired in 1966 he started to paint and was a good artist with published works. He probably would have fought beyond 40 on his comeback if not for his Dad dying. His dad died shortly after the Saldivar fight and he did a fight he took some time out. Did a fight with his brother in the corner and then had a good year in 1976 aged 40 with the hopes of securing a 3rd title. There is a movie out now in Brazil called “10 segundos para vencer” which I’ve received confirmation will be released with English subtitles. It focuses on the strong relationship between Eder and “Kid” Jofre.

Jofre would also be a very liked and respected politician too. He has memory loss now and has slowed down though his body remains physically well. He’s the oldest living member of the IBHOF.

Lennox Lewis, Gene Tunney, George Foreman, Marvin Hagler, SRL, Marvin Johnson, there would be a lot of others.

The main question would be what constitutes well-off. For me as a modest lifestyle guy, it is owning ones own home, having no debts and being able to live a lifestyle one is ok with.

I've read a few fairly recent articles about Yoko Gushiken and he seems to be doing pretty well. Seems healthy and financially stable and still involved in boxing in various ways (as a commentator and I think he owns a gym).
