I think Lewis was past it and was not in great shape (came in at a career high weight).So I think Vitali is getting a little too much credit for his effort.

 

Lewis won obviously, I also have him h2h no1 all time everyone at their absolute best, but Vitali become a better fighter after the Lewis fight. I think h2h these two are the best ever

 

I rate both these guys very highly and I think if they'd rematched Vitali would have taken it. Lewis was not in prime shape; his cardio in particular was shot for that fight. Primes, who knows. I think Vitali could do it but it would be hard not to favour Lewis on pedigree.
