Joshua is already greater than Mike Tyson whose best win was 6'1 midget Trevor Berbick

But here's the issue: What you think is of no more value than what anyone else thinks, so we can strike a line through that. Joshua is not an unbiased source, for obvious reasons, so a line though that too as a reason to completely eliminate someone expressing a view you're not comfortable with.

    Good.

I think the question you really need to ask yourself is not why people question AJ, but why you need to see him as flawless. And why that impression of perfection being punctured by someone else seems to upset you.

FYI: In my opinion he was rocked and admitted as such - a loss of balance from a punch amounts to pretty much the same thing - but not really hurt. There, I've criticised him and disagreed with his version and yours. Are you able to accept even the smallest flaw in your idol?

The point I'm getting at is you're teetering on the brink of fanboyism regarding AJ and I think you're better than that.

So tell me, what's AJ's biggest weakness in your view? It'll be good to say it out loud...

I understand everyone has their opinion on things but it's like if I know for a fact that I am 181 cm tall, and I've measured myself several times... why are people going to say im a liar and I'm only 175.

AJ is saying himself that he wasn't hurt, it was a loss of balance... he has no reason to lie. I don't know why people can't accept his own version when you look at the footage is seems highly plausible that he did lose balance and so it corroborates.

What do I think is Joshua's biggest weakness? He's movement is his biggest weakness...

But it's a natural weakness, not something he has neglected. Some people just have different styles and abilities, they can't all bounce around like Povetkin or Ali. Joshua can't even dunk a basketball... there's just things he cannot do.

AJ is far from my idol, Mike Tyson is my idol. I just respect everything AJ has done, I just appreciate all the things he goes through on the daily, and how he has come so far... he does so many things right that people overlook like keeping his defense tight simply by keeping his hand tucked into his chin at all time...

Small things like that I notice.

I can admire an athlete for his work ethic and performance and the same time not be his fan.

I have only one boxing poster in my gym, and it's Iron Mike Tyson.

Height can be objectively measured and tested. Someone being rocked or hurt cannot and that is why it sparks debate.

Agree re: movement, it's by far his weakest suit but overall I rate him highly as the best out there atm and a live dog in any era. It's the Matchroominess of it all that grates with me - AJ the product - rather than his boxing.

But you know sometimes people on here get wearisome of hearing others almost worship another human being and yet those same people deride other fighters like they're choosing a religion and rejecting all others. I find it odd, although the secular nature of society might actually be at the heart of this - who better to bow down to if you don't believe in God than a powerful man?

AJ is gonna get knocked spark out one of these days - history tells us that's almost inevitable - then what? A new God?

He's a bloke. Just another bloke. But yeah he's very good at boxing...

He definitely wasn't hurt mate, he was caught off balance at the end of first round and that was all. People on here will say anything to discredit Joshua, it's pathetic tbh.

You're not here to discuss boxing and have a rational debate that's the problem.

Unless I agreed with you 100% and then that would be fine, of course. You don't want debate, you're seeking affirmation. Those are two entirely separate concepts...

I have never heard of Berbick being 6'1 before.

And Holmes and Spinks are usually considered Tyson's best wins, not Berbick.

I've never challenged your opinion, not even once, so when have I needed your affirmation.

You've expressed the same opinion on countless occasions, and I don't agree with it but have accepted it, but how many times can you repeat the same thing. Hence my opinion about crying, if the shoe fits pal.

Well said, it's a human condition - countries in the middle east suffer from the same societal dilemma, they need one man to be their hero, to change things. Not a cabinet of ministers, just to believe in one man, one name.

AJ is just a bloke, he is human... I see him as Ivan Drago sometimes but he does have weaknesses, but he's a solid boxer.

I do have legit thoughts of Wilder catching him and knocking him out.

    Thank you for the discussion.

Well if I was a betting man - which I really am not - I'd bet on AJ in that match-up but there is always the chance Wilder might switch his lights out. But AJ has two ways to win that fight - on points or KO - and Wilder only one. One day we might even find out....

Joshua hasn't even yet proved he's the best (or 2nd best) in his own era.
