So what's your call? Somehow Iran Barkley materializes in 1964 in a ring opposite the ring wizard Joey Giardello to challenge for the world middleweight championship. The bout is scheduled for 15 rounds...as though I really had to mention that. "Championship" was the clue as to the distance of the bout for all those uninitiated.
giardello schooled Rubin carter, who posed similar threats as Barkley did. only was Rubin a better fighter imo. Barkleys only Chance would be a one Punch ko…...but giardello was crafty and had a rock hard chin. giardello by wide du.
I was just watching Giardello vs Tiger 3 & 4, and think that Giardello (if focused and trained) should win a decision. The problem was Joey was horribly managed and inconsist in training and prep. Barkley would be a dangerous larger/stronger opponent and Giardello would need to be very crafty to take this...at thier very best I think he does, but splitting the fights like he and Tiger did is a real possibility as well.
