so then how come, if all lewis needed was a tap, was vitali unable to do so, id he was landing 20 shots a round?

basically you are saying vitali was featherfist.

If you are trying to diss someone to big up vitali, you need to rethink yourstrategy. As it stands Bruno did much better than prime vitali could manage.

The way Vitali's biggest supporters try and talk up his loss into a victory reminds me of the way disgruntled Hillary supporters refuse to accept she lost against Trump. Vitali may have been ahead on the scorecards after 6, and Hillary may have won the popular vote - but at the end of the day, Lewis beat Vitali and Trump defeated Clinton.

yes, though CLinton was one of the most shyte candidates ever, its a very poor analogy. Clinton would be more of a fat sam peter.

Go read about it or watch post fight interviews. That was the Klitschko strategy.

No. What I said was the Lewis legs were gone at the end of the 6th round. Not the first round or the 3rd, the 6th. Watch closely and it's as plain as it gets.

Go ahead and name the heavies that lose their legs and go on to win a bout.

Who's disgruntled? Those two consisted of 2 of my favorite 4 fighters at the time. Why is it people go to the easiest and laziest argument possible about fight outcomes anyway---either a lover or a hater?

And we had the rare opportunity to see a back and forth heavyweight tilt. Certainly something that is not all that frequent with the multitude of title bouts.

He threw plenty of fullblooded right hands and Lewis took them,I;ve seen the fight at least a dozen times, I don't need to read about it or watch post fight interviews.

An excellent knockdown drag out scrap without much science ,but plenty of action.Vitali would give just about anyone all they wanted ,but prime Lewis would beat him convincingly ,imo.

Which legendary fighter in history worth his salt has ever said the following statements "Anyone can end things in the heavyweight division with one punch", "He threw a great right hand that my chin got in the way off", "I gave him a chance to fight, he was my mandatory but I am not fighting him again".

The rematch should have happened right after the first fight. Instead Mercer had to settle for Weatherspoon.

Like Vitali and Bruno, Mercer never got a second chance.

Lewis was gassed. Max Kellerman who never had a nice thing to say about Vitali pre 2003 even said he never so Lewis so tired. Lewis crashed down on his stool hard. We all saw how much energy Vitali had left once he learned the fight was stopped. That was a doctor's call.
