    LOL @ that idiotic and shameful comment about Canelo being his daddy. What utter nonsense, history records that a 35/36 yr old Golovkin fought the best version of Canelo we've seen twice and should have been given the decision at least once.

    Simply because the judges predictably gave the cash cow the benefit of the doubt in both fights doesn't change Golovkin's accomplishments in the ring.

    He'll be the WBA's #1 contender if he chins Murata for a shirtload of money, right?!

    Seems like he's never going to win the decision against Canelo, but at least he can get another massive payday out of it after the Murata payday. Just take the money, because politics already spoiled his legacy.

    Top ten middleweight all time behind Robinson, Monzon, etc. Top ten pfp fighter of the decade behind Lomachenko, Gonzalez, etc. Maybe around number eight on both. Very different from being the GOAT middleweight.

    Unfortunately, the petty tribalism on this site is going to ensure that fallacy is peddled forever.

    And on the flipside, there will be those who give Canelo little or no credit from both fights too.

    Well said. In fact, if we are being completely honest Canelo & GGG are now so inextricably tied that you can't rate the one and consider the other a fraud.

    And that's the irony. Canelo is in no way a fraud. He is a fighter with elite skills and reflexes that has blossomed into an extremely formidable middleweight despite what the naysayers (inculding me) said about him having a hard time at 160.

    He just didn't beat Golovkin.
