Was Primo Carnera the worst heavyweight champ of all time?

    the pioneers were worse imo. jess willard was Pretty awfull…….although one might consider him a pioneer.

    but after jack dempsey, all of the undisputed Champs beat him. Maybe he can beat one of the Alphabet Champs.....but i wouldnt favour him vs anyone.

    You could easily find half a dozen lineal heavyweight champion's with worse resumes.

    In the late 60's Carnera & Ingo were considered the worse...but you had a prime Ali active then for the ultimate comparison.

    To be fair, winning and losing it from a Hall of Famer ins't really impressive, since all the lineal heavyweight champions were Hall of Famers (apart from Hart)

    What is meant by the worst? as in no talent or as in did nothing

    Remember we had as champion in 1 form or another

    Leon Spinks
    Bonecrusher Smith

    And other lesser champs

    Carnera was not the worst but is one of the more controversial

    AJ looked too stiff vs Povetkin but here he looks quick, he`s just going threw the motions, Carnera would have been hit with far more punches vs Povetkin than AJ was.

    Carnera wouldn`t have gone the distance with Tyson even if he clinched the way Smith did that bout, Smith took Bruno`s best shots and Carnera would not have been able to do that.

    Primo is 18 inches taller than Povetkin! Povetkin wouldn't be able to reach him. The giant could keep him at the end of the jab all night long.

    Moorer was quicker and more powerful than Carnera, Primo wouldn`t have given Holyfield any problems.
