Agree that the chin is a big factor for Joyce. His style

Martin Bakole needs to step up soon. He is 26 going on 36- and his age is going to catch up with him before any top opponent steps in the ring with him.

Try and get the fight made then, tbh at least Joyce is looking to step it up every fight.

I love Joyce, cant wait to see him get a shot at a top 10 guy.

He looks so vulnerable but i like how he just walks forward and gets hit and keeps clubbing, hes so slow and robotic but an absoloute beast....Hes like a boxing version of the terminator.

Theres not a fighter in the division who would fancy it against joyce, he doesnt look to have the biggest punching power but hes seriously heavy handed.

    Washington has turned it down.

Replacement looks to be Joe Hanks.

Terrible opponent. Since being stopped in 4 by Ruiz jr over 5 years ago he’s had 3 fights losing one and beating two nobodies.

Joyce really needs Warren or Hearn behind him. He needs to be fighting top 15 fighters and needs the money behind him to do it. Nobody is going to give him a voluntary defence, he’s going to have to get in to a mandatory. You don’t do that by beating Joe Hanks or Kiladze.

Yeah didn't mind Kiladze but Joe Hanks is a letdown. Washington would have been great and shouldn't have been difficult to get. Don't know why Washington turned it down as he's fairly inactive and unlikely to get another world title shot especially when he barely fights these days. I assume he's getting poorly paid for it unless he has a fight lined up that no-one knows about?

Notice Joyce getting avoided quite a bit

He looks clumsy and oafish but he's a horrible nights work

Which is why he needs backing off the big boys. If the money is good then the fighters will find it hard to turn down. You can’t really fault Joyce, it’s not fault of his own. This will be his 7th fight in 14 months and is Commonwealth champion. He just needs financial backing now and you’d think on a massive PPV like Wilder Fury they could fund a decent opponent.

And he's only a 6-0 prospect. He's not worth risking a loss to unless the money is ridiculous and that's the problems you have when you turn pro so late.

I think Rossy would’ve been a better choice, at least he took the likes of teper and stiverne the distance

If I was him I would of tried to go down the WBO mandatory route. It’s clear Whyte is next for AJ and Hearn has stated they are trying to make that a WBO mandatory. If he fought Junior Fa, Richard Lartey, Chisora and Fujimoto in the next 12 months he’d be in well within mandatory position with WBO for a 2020 shot at AJ. The only other option I see for him is he’s been promised the winner of Wilder vs Fury after the Breazeale mandatory as if it’s Wilder they can’t keep selling rematches.
