He's certainly went down in my estimations.

I see on Hearn's new IFL interview he is banging on about AJ being the one who calls the shots and he wants Wilder. Only a month or two ago, Eddie said Joshua wants Whyte over Wilder. So what is it, Eddie!?

The Fury fangirls are the worst ! Fury is fighting Wilder in December , if he'd have signed with Hearn by the time he got thru tin can and Bellew he'd still be in camp for the Whyte fight by December the earliest he'd have fought AJ if he made it that far would be next summer / Autumn , he'd have made much more money and had more time to get in the best shape possible , was in no position to duck joshua ! He ducked Bellew mate let alone AJ

They've made it clear Wilder's is the number 1 target but will take the Whyte fight if for whatever reason it can't get made.

The old man is an accountant, he is running it like any other.

Keeping a close eye on his P+Ls and protecting his assets...

When the gross exceeds the nets, then his assets get cashed in...

The fighters do not cash out the accountant does...

What’s the point in fighting Bellew or Whyte if he can go and fight Wilder for the one belt he has missing from his collection. Whyte and Bellew haven’t got any belts...if he was cashing out, then surely he’d fight a Whyte or Bellew on PPV, they are easier fights. Facts are, he’s not after the easy money, he’s going to America to fight a world champion. If he beats Wilder then all paths lead to AJ.

I hate all this cash out nonsense people spout. The fella has lost 9 stone and fought mental illness to get himself back in the ring daring to be great. Isn’t that what it’s all about?

I loved his interview with 5live where he talked passionately about coming back to leave a lasting legacy. He acknowledged that beating Klitschko wasn’t enough to do that and that he had to beat the best of his era to leave a marker. He said that he doesn’t need the money, he lives in a**e end of nowhere near Morecambe, there’s nothing to spend money on. He’s got all he wants.

He went to a champs backyard and beat him. He’s going to another champs backyard and if he beats him...that’s leaving a legacy.

So with Hearn confirming he has made a third offer and has upped the offer for the AJ vs Wilder fight and that the offer is no longer a flat fee but a percentage and that the offer now contains a 2 way rematch clause.

Isn't Finkel the one looking silly now that he's responded stating they aren't interested in dicussing the deal until after the Fury fight?

If Wilder beats Fury his team can go back to the negotiating table and thrash out a better deal with AJ’s representatives. Wilder’s value could shoot up after December 1st so why negotiate with a weaker hand now?

Surely you can’t be this naive?
Was Barry the accountant telling everybody that he doesn’t want AJ to fight Wilder and advised him
not to, not enough for you?

Hearn cannot afford to take AJ off of DAZN to allow him to fight Wilder which will have to be on showtime PPV.

Matchroom are just desperately trying to change the narrative and put a positive spin on things by making out that they want the fight. Whether Matchroom fans acknowledge it or not, Eddie would have been absolutely seething seeing all of the Wilder - Fury stuff this week. I bet he’s had a few calls from AJs manager if not the man himself, seriously pissed that he is being painted as a coward from the Uk to LA.

Hearn said that the third offer is on the basis that he beats Fury.

Hearn has pretty much picked apart Wilders team spin in his recent IFL interview although to be fair Frank Warren unintentionally did that in a previous interview.

I can’t be bothered to listen to the interview...let me guess hearn said something along the lines of “we couldn’t accept the 50m as it was comming from Frank/BT” ?

This is total nonsense. Do you honestly think that Finkel / Haymon wouldn’t sell the Uk rights to the highest bidder?! Sky would have been given the option of bettering any potential offer from BT. Infact, usually it’s a 3rd party company which administers the TV rights like for example the Mayweather v Pac/Mcgreggor bids from sky/BN etc.

I’m not blaming Hearn for the whole situation, but he’s simply talking rubbish in this instance.

Bazza Hearn has told us the game plan. Unless something happens like a defeat or injury, the next 3 fights will be Whyte, Miller and Usyk and they will all be on DAZN in front of 30k subscribers

Selling to the highest bidder does not work when one of the fighters has a deal with a network and in no way would turn against his network. You know as does everyone else that AJ fights on sky box office and that was never going to change.

The fight on anything other than sky box office becomes an immediate non starter

Then AJ/Hearn could legitimately turn down the deal IF BT out bids sky. Sadly it didn’t get that far as they didn’t want to entertain the fight. I don’t know why you and others come up with all these excuses. They didn't want the fight, just accept It, it’s no big deal.

Barry H has told us himself..paraphrasing “AJ came to me and asked me my honest opinion on the 50m and I told him not to take the fight now”

“We run a proper business, we’re
planning a 10 year career, there’s no rush. If we go for the next 10 years and don’t fight Wilder, I’m fine with that”

There’s really no argument here. I think AJ wanted to take the money personally and we know that he at one point directly looked to take control and discuss the deal with Wilder, until Matchroom pulled him back into line. Eddie needs him for DAZN.

Rivetting stuff but this is real life , David Haye talked passionately about The Haymaker 2.0 being new and improved and how he was going to reclaim a world title and so much impassioned big talk , did he believe a word of it ? Of course not , no fighter who is back simply to milk a few extra paydays out of the game is going to be honest about it on the radio , it would completely destroy the credibility of the fight and completely devalue any fights they have destroying the purse and totally defeating the object of getting your face smashed in if there is no substantial payday.

Fury has 5 kids and a long time left in life he also owns a range of supercars , after extensive cocaine use and lengthy legal battles it's highly feasible that Fury is simply cashing out terribly naïve to suggest otherwise but who knows with Fury.

AJ isn't part of the DAZN deal.
