    Why not? Wouldn't be a top level fight and he likely gets dissected, but it's not like it's a step down from a shot Fuentes.

    I think so. He still looked sharp albeit against a shot glorified heavybag. Another fight that isn't top level before he goes for another top opponent wouldn't hurt. Although Negrete is probably out of commission for a while after this.

    How many Callum Johnson matches have you watched? He has more than a decent chance, especially if Beterbiev goes and take 12 rouns to stop him like he did with Koelling.

    Several while researching for his fight with Frank(I ended up going with Johnson) He's sharp and a good puncher. But Beterbiev is just a killer.

    He also has far better defense than most of the people Beterbiev has faced in the past, and is just as strong if not a little bit stronger on the inside, this is as evenly matched a bout as we have this week IMO.

    No, not confident it will either, maybe for a few rounds, then Payano will go into survival mode around the 6 and it'll peter out down the stretch.

    I just think if you're going in against Román González (at even 70% of what he was in his undefeated prime - and even with him now swimming in these heavier waters) you damn well better have a punch. The last guy that fought on even terms with González without having much of a spiteful punch was gritty journeyman deluxe Manuel Vargas - and even Chango had, I think, more p4p swat than Negrete.

    Even though CST is exaggerating a bit he's not completely off as Johnson is quality and a dark horse at the weight class. But yeah. Beterbiev...... Only 2 or 3(maybe 4) guys at the division that possibly have the beating of him. Johnson isn't one of them.
