Not sure Smith has much time left at 168. Unsurprisingly, it's rumoured he struggles to make SMW. When you consider Groves shared the ring with a taller boxer in his last fight than AJ did, it's hardly a shock that Smith will soon be in a weight class where he will be fighting men of similar dimensions to him...

I am not sold on Callum Smith yet. I am want to see more. Will be interesting to see what happens in a rematch because for me Groves was not fully there.

Groves was the same Groves he has always been....

    Completely overrated.

He struggled to maintain his style over 12 rounds when he was younger, he's only getting worse now.

Groves is rated off of beating another hypejob in Degale, and putting a Froch who wasn't prepared, on the canvas.

He loses at the top level every fight.

Only man that would destroy Smithy is GGG at 168.
Other than that, nobody, maybe at 175lb and up.

Yeah that one. Because Clev is far more of a risk taker than Callum and a Light Heavyweight, and willing to risk be KTFO to land his shots, I'm not sure Callum is that brave, had the Groves fight kept going the way it was going, Groves was on his way to a UD win, Braehmer is every bit as skilled, if not more so than Groves, and unlike Groves, isn't nearly as fragile.

I think Benavidez could beat him too, Smith isn't hard to outwork.

The more I watch of him the more I am impressed.. What struck me about the Groves fight was how hard Groves was working to stay in the fight & to keep on top of it whereas as Smith was cruising & when he had settled in & had his man marked he dispatched him with quite frightening ease.. Beautiful counter left. He's very humble too.. Looks like a natural talent with instinctive finishing prowess. I think he'll beat Ramirez & the rest of them.. I think people were writing him off because of a couple of lackluster performances against average opposition but I suspect that was just boredom & frustration at his career.. Big fights come, he can fight to the level of his opposition & step up his game. I think he's quite special... He'll get better too. Degale, Ramirez, Uzcategui... I'd confidently favour Callum.

I had Callum up like 4-2 and the tide was turning for him. Callum was conserving a lot more a energy and clearly has the better tank. Furthermore, the longer the fight went the more they’d fight up close. Callum can and doesn’t mind fighting on the inside. Groves hates to fight of the inside. There is no way in hell Groves was cruising to a UD.

Provided he's allowed to take a step ladder in to the ring!

Groves was repeatedly being badly hurt, and he was going at an pace he couldn't sustain, while not putting a dent in Smith. There was no way Groves wasn't going to slow, and no way he wouldn't get KOed some point if he slowed.

I think he was edging it on points, but it doesn't matter because he wasn't on his way to a UD win, he was always going to be stopped the way it was going.

apparently, it's the other way aroud, he makes it quite comfortably. he's said he doesn't envisage moving up for quite a bit
