One can not lose a political election behind in the vote with doctor stopping it. Bad analogy. But you're right on Hillary supporters.

Why do you keep saying this?

How many times have you been told?

There was NO DEMAND FOR A REMATCH WITH BRUNO IN THE COUNTRY THAT WOULD HAVE HOSTED IT.

People DID NOT WANT TO SEE BRUNO REMATCH LEWIS.

Calls were overwhelmingly for Bruno to retire not rematch a dangerous puncher. People believed he was going to get hurt.

People wanted him to retire, not fight Lewis.

Why, despite the fact that this has been demonstrated to you over and over again down the years do you continue to repeat this accusation that he "didn't rematch Bruno."

America was not interested. Britain was not interested. What is your expectation?

Do you not believe that it was as described above? If so, why? If not, why do you continue to pollute the forum with the opinion that Lewis "failed" to rematch Bruno?

This is the sixth or seventh time I have asked you about this.

Please explain why you believe a Lewis-Bruno rematch was in demand anywhere in the world? Please state why you think it would have been possible to stage such a fight? If you don't believe it was in demand or possible, please state why you repeatedly criticise Lewis for not taking part in such a rematch?

    I'll answer it McGrain,

    Please read and reflect.

1 ) There is always demand for a re-match in a heavyweight good fight as they are rare on the highest levels. The 1990's were full of them at heavyweight. Holy vs. Bowe, Tyson vs. Holy, Moorer vs. Holy, Lewis vs McCall. etc...

2 ) Bruno was very popular in the UK. Are you telling me his fan base would not want to see him get another crack at Lewis, considering how well he was doing? Are you telling me the purses would not be big for this fight?

    3) Bruno obviously did not retire after this loss, he went on to win a few more, including a win over Oliver McCall, who stopped Lewis. So with a win over the man who beat Lewis that was unavenged at the time, plus a loss to Lewis in a close fight, there are some paths here for them to meet again.

4 ) Calls for Bruno to retire you say? Maybe so. My retort, obviously he did not listen, facing and beating McCall, and then meeting Tyson in his last fight.

5 ) Who did Lewis face in 1994-1995? Phil Jackson, Oliver McCall, Lionel Butler ,Justin Fortune, Tommy Morrison. Bruno would have been a bigger draw than most of these matches.

6 ) Did Bruno ever say he wouldn't fight Lewis again? Show me if he did. When a big purse if up, fighters often take it.

7 ) Many in the USA at the time did not care for Lewis, and would have watched to see if he lost. There was demand here.

As I said before, Lewis was eager for re-matches when he lost, however when he was in tough fights that he won, we never saw a re-match with the following fighters. There is a pattern here:

Bruno, Mercer, Mavrovic, and Klitschko. All four of these men gave Lewis tough fights. I read Lewis collapsed in his dressing room after Mavrovic fight.

I think there would have been demand for ANY of the above re-matches.

Since both Mcgrain and myself live in the UK I think we are better placed to know what demand there was for a Bruno v Lewis re-match .McGrain is totally correct when he says the papers were calling for Bruno to retire after this fight .There was no one saying," lets see it again!"

Great. Can you produce some evidence of the demand for this one? From the UK.

I'm telling you exactly that; i've told it to you numerous times before. All of them? No, there were millions. But the purveying attitude was that Bruno should retire.

There was demand for Lewis-Bruno II in the United States?

    This is a new claim.

    Can you substantiate it?

The reason a Mercer second fight did not happen has been explained earlier on this thread, I suggest you trawl back and read it.

But he wasn't fat and only 2lbs heavier than his previous weight.

And wasn't he like a fine wine? Truth is Vitali was his first live opponent since Holyfield.
