On the strength of one ...(just the one mind.)..passable win each, “these boys have achieved overnight worldbeater status among their adoring fans....
Is “chronic knee jerk overrating syndrome” a new disease In Brit boxing ? And if it is what’s the cure? Ok I’ve got the cure for josh ( he’s called Carl) but what about the plank...???

Worked for Tyson Fury with his one win in a glorified tickling contest.

bit different when you do it to the unified heavyweight champ for the best part of a decade, who'd never been beaten on points, in his back yard

    Hmmm agree and disagree.

Warrington is a determined local chap who lools like European level but lives the life. Frampton fights will answer more questions. Certainly seems he beat a jaded or maybe even an overrated Selby.

I always thought Callum Smith had the potential to be the best boxer in Britain, early stages in his pro career he looked magnificent. Then laterally stagnated for whatever reasons, inactivity, Tesco Joe, his brothers influence or something unknown.

Callum has the world at his feet really.

Certainly earlier on I saw a variation of shots and calibre which suggested he was a major threat. Having a size advantage is part of boxing really. I reckon he would carry it upto to 175lbs....albeit a much stronger division.

Taking into account how vulnerable Groves can be, must be considered.

    Your probably right there.
I'm drawing up a list, as we speak, of the possible excuses you will come out with when Carl gets handily beat from Josh.

I think he's just one of those fighters who fights to the level of his opposition sometimes.

Haha, hope you’re having a good holiday bud. I was just waiting to be beamed up after enjoying our Len’s opening ‘baiting’ post on this thread :)

Groves was all wrong for dealing with The Plank ..shuffling backwards...feeble out of range jabs...no guard..etc .you have to take the fight to callum...jabbing your way in. He is a sucker for a jab as long as you’re not running backwards like groves was...

He felt Callum’s power early on and wobbled, mate. Every time he landed clean it looked like it buzzed him. The warning signs were there, get close to Smith and he’ll hurt you. The one time Groves got greedy with success was in the 7th and he got caught with the left & lost the fight. One judge had him 5-1 up, another had it 3-3 and the third 5-1 Smith so he was having some success fighting on the outside.

Haha has been a really good week mate, thanks, Dubrovnik, Croatia.

No I don't mind listening to Len, he gives different points of view whether he has agendas with them or not.

Just turned on Croatian telly and got The Fighter with Wahlberg and Bale. Result!
