Boxrec have ridiculously rated this fight with 5 stars, I'm sure to boost Canelo's overall score/ranking that much higher. If Vargas vs Dulorme, Roman vs McDonnell & Beterbiev vs Johnson are all rated 3 stars apiece being actual competitive fights, then Fielding vs Canelo should not be any higher than 3 stars either the complete mismatch that it is.

I can't stand Canelo, and had GGG winning both fights, but GGGs resume really isn't as impressive as so many make it out to be.

Canelo is the only elite fighter GGG has fought....

    Whereas Canelo fought Floyd.

I never understood how GGG was avoided, yet Krusher had no problems getting fights lined up, and he was doing the same things to his opponents. If I had to guess, Krusher's opponents were probably getting paid less too. Even Ward, who's a piece of shit, moved up and fought the number 1 guy twice(regardless of the bs decisions).

Middleweights were scared of GGG, but somehow fighters from lower divisions weren't. I don't get it. And also, smw has always been there for the taking, GGG would've had a much better chance at getting all the belts there than at mw. Wasn't that his goal?

With all this being said, though, yes, this Canelo fight isn't ideal, but whatever. And two, GGG is a great fighter whom I enjoy watching, but man, some of his fans are getting pretty annoying.

Canelo has just had two fights against a hall-of-famer (GGG), fought the best fighter of his generation (MAY), has fought top 10 guys moving up (Khan) and guys his size who were very well respected (Trout, Lara), and now he's fighting another big, mediocre guy (Chavez) but he is BIG.

As average as Fielding is, he is still 6'1. I wouldn't say it a cherry pick, let the guy cop an easy belt. I think he's earned it.

Sure, this is okay, but if Golovkin doesn't fight Charlo it's a duck. Nothing remotely hypocritical about this at all.

Well, Mr. "Anyone from 154-175" does have to step up sometime. He avoided Murata, Andrade and Deveryanchenko for Martirosian with Canelo II o the line (worthwhile for $30m., but doesn't look good).

Again, Deveryanchenko, Andrade and Murata were on the docket for May. I don't set the mandatories, the sanctioning body does.

I’m surprised people are upset about this. Canelo is the money man of
Boxing he fights who he wants when he wants

From what I understand, there was a REMATCH CLAUSE after the first, not after the second.

As far as Charlo goes, I don't see him as a boogie man or a great middle. His opposition has been average, he's fights very infrequently and did not seem to want any of Andrade. It's not like he's Tommy Hearns, why not fight him?

In principle, would not the december fight be supposed to be a gimme? So it is.
Is Fielding a journeyman? i believe not. It is a B- level , solid opponent.

BTW so much crap for those saying that the second fight with GGG would take
physically too much from Canelo, he is so fresh, strong, prime as ever.
