Both Peter is a big man and certainly powerful and Quarry was a whole lot better boxer I see Peter in a fight like Quarry-Chuvalo where Quarry is easily outboxing the bigger man and gets caught....Peter is bigger than George and hits harder so this is what I envision
If Quarry could beat Ernie Shaver, Mac Foster, and Ron Lyle, he would make very short work of Peter, who did not punch as hard as any of them. Peter benefited from fighting in the very worst era of heavyweight boxing ever, when they were trying to create a champion out of nothing at all.
I could see this as a repeat of Eddie Chambers outpointing Peter, as long as Quarry doesn'y get reckless and start trading with Peter.
Jerry would've been a heck of a Cruiserweight in today's game (look at his resume- it was mostly against Cruiser-sized fighters as it is), but even many modern Cruisers would look a division bigger than him. Dude wouldn't even be campaigning at Heavyweight. If he did fight Peter, I imagine he'd do well for himself until Peter broke him down and stopped him.
Peter was a porky ,clumsy swinger ,Lyle and Shavers would beat him up. Quarry would comfortably outbox him.
Quarry every day. And twice on Sunday. Peter WAY too slow to outbox Jerry. And Quarry would not be the least bit intimidated by Peter.
