That’s a great post and I totally agree with the subtleties that you mentioned (and described brilliantly). I really believe he has potentially world class skills and although Davies is domestic/euro level at best, his power is legitimate and Catterall using the subtleties you described was able to put fires out before they began in not only dodging that right hand but not presenting Davies with an opportunity to throw it. He reminds me of BJS. He’s definitely top 10 imo and has more than enough for Hooker who I don’t rate massively. At 25, he’s going to develop more power in the next few years.
Well put across, couldn't agree more. I think he beats Hooker & a lot of of top 140's but I think style wise right now, Ramirez' pressure would be too much. He'll get better though, one to watch now.
I think if it’s presented to him he’s gotta grab that world title shot with both hands, but I think ideally he still needs a couple more ‘bridge to world level’ fights to learn from such as a fringe world level fighter or/and someone who’s declining from world level.
