    Pffft.
Povetkin threw over 900 punches against Chambers and won by a landslide. He was only 14-0 at the time. Foreman managed 400 thrown against Morrison who is not half the boxer Povetkin is.

Given that Foreman is both easier to hit than Fast Eddie and that he throws slower punches, I see few problems in Povetkin both avoiding Foreman's power and landing his own shots.

    Holyfield being Povetkin.

Damn even a "prime" Foreman would get wrecked.

That's a good video to post.

It highlights just how slooooowww Foreman was back then. Only reason he managed to land on Holyfield is because Holy was too macho to duck or slip or evade. Povetkin works at a far faster rate than these two.

Here's the Povetkin / Byrd highlights:

Notice how Povetkin manages to slip even quick-handed Byrd's blows, and lands plenty in return? Glacial Foreman isn't going to have a fun time at all. He'll be swatting flies all night. Sure it's not all one way traffic because Byrd himself was an exceptional boxer, way more skilled than Foreman.

Prime Foreman gets wrecked by Povetkin? Hey that's good! have you heard the one about the old man and the 19 year old babe in a bar? It's not quite as funny as your joke but it's good.

Foreman: he has the size, the chin and the bare minimum defense to survive long enough to eventually get the knockout.

Evander tried to KTFO Foreman. He's gangsta like that. Pov does not have to do that.

Hey enough about your dreams daddy, ok?

Lets get back to reality. Like Foreman has probably the worse boxing punching technique of probably any HW champ. That includes wilder. That's saying something...

My point is that most of the success Foreman had is because Holyfield did something he didn't have to do, try to KO Foreman constantly.

If Pov does that, sure, maybe Foreman can KO him. But if he employs a different strat, he can win. As shown by Tommy Morrison who moved around more than usual and beat Foreman. Is Evander not much better than Morrison? Yes, but that didn't stop Morrison from beating Foreman.
