No idea if it was already mentioned before but Dave Allen is fighting after his stunning KO victory over Nick Webb on the Ritson vs. Patera undercard in Newcastle on Saturday. He will fight Samir Nebo (10-2-1) who won all ten bouts by stoppage but also lost every bout by stoppage. Nebo is a German with Syrian roots. He is 37 years old and lost recently to Tom Schwarz (February 2018) via TKO4. He has wins over glass cannons like Davit Gorgiladze, Saul Farah or Andrei Mazanik.
I saw that fight, should be a easy win for Allen if he comes in in decent shape. But what the hell, I thought Allen said himself he needed to take a break/the rest of the year off after KO'ing Webb. Didn't he like kinda retire around the time of the Webb fight too? Allen's mind is all over the place it seems.
Allen has talked openly about having mental illness I'm not against fighters with mental illness fighting but Allen needs a manager to help him with his decision making because it's clearly not something he's great at.
I was not aware of that, though to be honest I did have my suspicions with how erratic his schedule has been this year combined with how he said he needed rest, but then took no rest. I meant no offense from my comment though.
Seen him in much better nick than this before, to me he looks fat as **** here. You’ll see at the weigh in that he’ll have a fair bit of a belly on him. Hope Nebo comes for the win, I’ve never seen him but if he has even the most basic ring skills and a solid jab he’ll have a good chance of beating Allen.
I can't find a vid of Samir Nebo to post for you but I can tell you from what I saw Dave should be okay.
Can't see any fat on him on that photo. And Allen is rubbish no doubt, but I doubt some Syrian bum is gonna be able to do anything.
Dave Allen will never look like some athletic bloke, he looks fine on that photo, definitely better shape than vs Webb IMO.
