With all the calories that boxing burns, how did Miller reach this weight?

What. The ****. Is he eating?
Even James toney didn't come close to this kind of weight and he 1. Only sparred and lifted weights at heavyweight
And 2. Ate every and anything and was a notorious fatass

How does a young Man like Miller( who clearly trains hard enough for a good workrate in the gym) reach this kind of weight? He must be eating nearly 10k calories a day to get that heavy

Hes just getting away with it at the minute, either the quality or the size of opposition is hiding some glaring problems that being that size will show once he steps it up against the best. That moment will come and he will have a decision to make. Anthony Joshua took a bit of time to realise he was a bit too bulky and now hes realised it and is dealing with it. But that was too much on the weights where as Millers too much on the burgers. Easier to give up the iron than the Maccys.

To be honest.....this guy is terrifying.

He does NOT look like a fat piece of **** at all. No more so than an ELITE defensive tackle.

Seeing 320lbs move around the ring like that... he was sliding with Adamek like he was his shadow. Cornering him at every turn. Hands moving like a man much, much smaller.

A long, twitchy Deontay Wilder might be a problem. But i'd love to see him get up in Anthony Joshua's ass. He might just turn that man out in under 6rds.

I used to see James Toney regularly stuffing 10+ McDonald Hamburgers down his throat in hollywood about 10 years ago, but Toney was around 40 at the time while Miller is only 30.

I don't know what Miller eats, but he seems to do more power lifting training than boxing training. In most of his training videos his intense training is in his deadlift, bench press, and squat videos. In his boxing videos the training intensity is lukewarm at best and he just seems to be going through the motions.

    Lmao

Yeah coming in with feather fists and Zero defence is a great idea against Joshua

If miller had world class defense and could avoid getting repeatedly smashed in the face by elite level power punches he might have a chance at a late stoppage of Joshua.

But he doesn't, and he's soon going to feel the difference between all the featherfisted opponents he's fought and someone who has dangerous punching power

    Yup.

He's fighting very poor level of opposition and can get away with it because no matter what anyone says fighting someone with a 90lb weight advantage is too much for anyone below the elite level.

Problem is when he gets in with someone who is elite he will get shown up.

Miller would be better served at 265lb and sharpening his skills.

You can't out train a bad diet. He's getting away with it now but when he does step up and face a puncher he'll get exposed. You can see the extra weight is a hindrance, perhaps not in regards to stamina but he can't actually put the full weight behind his shots, they are mainly arm punches.

Clearly too heavy, 270lbs would be a lot better.

His body fat % looks to be a lot less than guys like Kowanacki and Ruiz Jr. Miller is solid and is weight doesn't seem to effect his performance so I don't get why people have a problem with it.

If the weight isn't effecting him negatively , then its an advantage to him in the ring. Its not going to be easy beating a 320 pound man who doesn't tire and can cut the ring off.

Clearly not too heavy since he is covering ground as quick as any other HW in the division not named Wilder.

He is simply eating more than he burns.

It must cost a lot of money though!

His fat level really isn't that bad compared to a lot of heavyweights.

Let's not guess. Let's do this scientifically. Jarrell Miller is 6'4", 317 pounds, and 30 years old. He's not sedentary, so calculate for lightly active. He'd need 3,437 calories a day to maintain his current weight. If he's moderately active exercising 3-5 times a week then he requires 3,874 calories a day to maintain his weight. If he exercises very hard which is 6-7 times a week then he requires 4,311 calories a day.

I eat around 3000 cals a day with just one cardio or lifting session a day and I’m 185lbs give or take. Miller is probably eating near 10,000 cals a day given he is an athlete. No one can deny that he looks pretty respectable bodyfat wise at 300lbs+. His weight is probably down to some insane bone density. He probably could do with losing a about 40lbs but let’s see what happens when he steps up.

Right, then you naturally burn about 2500 calories a day and burn off 500 working out. Miller eats about a thousand calories more than that. Let's say that a typical meal is between 500 and 750 calories. Most people eat 3 times a day and burn off a bit more than 2000 calories. Either Miller is doubling his portion sizes, or he's snacking throughout the day equivalent to 2-3 extra meals.
