Guess it shows how much it all really matters

I believe there is a correlation between skipping rope and footwork and balance.

I'm sure there's correlation, the question is how much, versus how much you've practiced it, how much recently, how much filming they do, how you're feeling during filming, how much it matters for your fighting style.

What, he looks good doing both.

That speed bag is a heavy speed bag. There are tons of clips of Louis hitting the speed bag over the years and he was great at it.

The sound that his punches make when landing in sparring and on the bag are sickening. Look how loud the bag snaps from his jabs. Yikes.

    Louis had great balance.

Bad footwork limits your style and can expose you to others who are better at it, a reason why smaller opponents who could box, or opponents Louis size who had good footwork gave him trouble despite Louis having the edge in height and reach for the most part.

If your a giant, with great reach you can get away with bad footwork to a degree.

With his feet set, I agree. On the move, no. Some of Louis knockdowns were due to his lack of balance.

Johnny Bratton used to get people coming into the gym just to watch him train. He was more impressive than Robinson but he couldn't duplicate it in fights.

Duran once skipped rope for 5 minutes in a crouching position ,yet he was known as a "heel and toe guy."
Training is training, fighting is fighting.

Which ones would you say were due to lack of balance?

Can jumping rope help at all with footwork, in your opinion?

You should check out some of Harry Grebs footage, quite bizarre.
