McGregor suspended by the UFC on medical grounds

    Have fans heard this news and what does it mean for Conor`s career?

    It's just a medical suspension. It isn't a penalty. It doesn't mean anything other than Conor shouldn't spar until the 28th of this month, and wouldn't be licensed to fight until the 6th of next month. It's standard after a tough fight.

    It should be noted that Derrick Lewis has been suspended until November 6th with no contact until October 28th despite the UFC wanting him to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 230 on November 3rd.

    Also of note is the short suspension of Conor McGregor, who is also out until November 6th with no contact until October 28th.

    Here’s the full list of suspensions from the event:

    Anthony Pettis: Must have nasal fracture cleared by doctor or no contest until 04/05/19

    Dominick Reyes: Must have left leg x-rayed, if positive then receive orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 04/05/19...

    Edit: I'm not sure if "no contact" means unavailable for contract negotiation, or sparring.

    I assume it means both. Those fighters will probably have to wait until the suspensions have ended before they can even negotiate their next fight.
