Solid enough fight... a lot worse fights that can be made at SMW. Hart really gave it a go in the first one, so definitely isn't unworthy of another shot.
This is a really good fight considering its an in house Top Rank fight. First 1 was close and Hart really hurt Zurdo just didnt try to finish him. I would like to see Korobav vs Zurdo, but Zurdo already turned that fight down before.
He’s been active but not against good opposition, I’m not going to **** on this fight though seeing as first was a good fight and a close one at that.
Hart not a Bum But yes very disappointing Probably get the 3rd fight sometime nxt year... He needs to be in with a top 5 guy
Gilberto Ramirez better do something impressive after this fight. I want to root for him but he needs to step out of his comfort zone.
The first fight was definitely good and close enough to warrant a rematch, but Gilberto is in danger of falling into irrelevant status if he doesn't go after a bigger name next.
Agreed on all your points. Not sure what Top Rank is thinking. Zurdo is exican so he has an almost automatic fanbase, he has very good text book skills, so the hardcores will get behind him, he has good looks and height so the women can also get behind him, yet he isn't pushed, hyped, or promoted properly. Same thing with Haymon and his potential stars, like WTF is going on, at least GBP matches his fighters hard and more often.
To be fair, Raimirez said he doesn't want this. Said he has 0 interest in Hart. But i think Hart is the mandatory and Top Rank is pushing it.
Dear Bob Arum, Please sir, start working with other promoters or at least sign a bunch of guys so that we don't have to see them fight each other multiple times for no reason. Let me guess, Zurdo's gonna get mystery robbed and they are gonna have a rubber match? Don't go to the great beyond making fake trilogy matches like Pacquiao vs Bradley was. Sincerely, Some Guy on the Internet P.S. Give Haymon a ring, he has about 8 SMW's at his disposable not doing jack squat. Let Zurdo tear through them.
Gilberto had a good fan base building here in LA but has fallen off the radar lately. At least it seems that way to me. He had that lackluster fight in Carson on the Valdez/Marriaga card after a long layoff. That was the beginning of the slide for me.
