Sergey Kovalev thinks he has some huevos, so he goes after
"little 5'-7" Dwight Braxton for Braxton's WBC LtHeavy title.

    Who wins?

Braxton beats him from pillar to post. It would not be pretty. Braxton would repeatedly make the utterly predictable Kovalev miss.... then he would make him pay! K.O., or T.K.O. in about 6 rounds or so.

Kovalev is robotic and stands too straight, too predictable. If you want to see how this ends up, just watch Qawi-Jerry Martin.

Even when Kovalev was at his peak, I said there's no way he beats Qawi. But the last 2 years have showed us that this would have been a gross mismatch.

Qawi destroys Kovalev inside of 6. Agreed with Sal Sanchez, probably a replay of what he did to Jerry Martin.

not so sure About this one. qawi was truely a buzzsaw…...so at first, i thought qawi easily. but kovalev in his prime had truely weird power. it was like he hit you and you stayed hurt. one of the greatest Punchers that ever lived imo.
qawi had to get inside to be effective…..a dangerous move against a weird hitter like kovalev. i can see qawi outjabbing kovalev and moving inside, wearing him down and stopping him.
but i can also see kovalev hurting qawi early and keeping him hurt. forcing him backwards and Rendering him helpless.
    a real tough call.

Braxton, he has too much intensity and heart for Kova.

I don't think Kovalev hit any harder than Saad. Kovalev was shite inside, he wanted you at the end of his reach.

i think kovalevs power was on a totally different Level. he had weird power, where even light Blows seemed to have opponents concussed and Fighting a totally defensive fight. no wonder this guy once killed a man.

There's nothing hard to pick about this fight.

Kovalev has neither the chin, nor the stamina, nor the heart to beat Qawi. And defensively, Kov has never been hard to find.

It's a mismatch. Kov is made to order for Qawi.

Kovalev's power overrated. What truly elite LHW did he ko?

Dwight gets inside and pummels him with bursts of combinations until he quits on his knees around the fifth round.

I saw that fight. The dude go hit in the back of the head. It was a freak thing. Even light punchers have killed opponents- Emile Griffith, Jesus Chavez. One's punching power is not graded by whether or not he has killed an opponent in the ring.
