Conor indeed did all of the above, and I think Herb Dean only warned him the once (for the illegal knee, I think). Funny how Dana chooses not to mention any of this in the post-event press conference or in any mainstream interviews.
I loved what Khabib did at the end. Soared through the sky to singlehandedly take on Conor's entire team Guy's a monster and that moment will always be remembered Khabib's on a whole different level. The only lightweight who could possibly beat him is Tony Ferguson. He's an awesome exciting tough as nails fighter - check him out if you havent already
ferguson isn't beating khabib either, his grappling is just too good. I don't see him losing at lightweight any time soon.
I reckon he's got a pretty good shot. He's good off his back, and if he survives and tires Khabib out, then he could really put a beating on him If he gets mauled like everyone else, then no ones getting near Khabib. But i feel Tony's got a pretty decent shot
I'd give him the best chance out the lightweight division but I think khabib is probably too much unfortunately, I don't really care for him but he's good at what he does.
I think Khabib was happy to just sap his energy in that first rd which he did. Khabib never really tried to bust up Conor with G'n'P in that 1st rd because he didn't want to give Conor any chance to explode to his feet etc etc. He was slowly draining his energy because he knew after 2 rds AT MOST Conor would be done and Khabib could do what he wanted. Conor's gastank is really $hit house. People always say "oh he went 5 rds with Diaz who is a cardio machine" etc etc but in that fight from rd 3 onwards both guys (Diaz included) were completely gassed and just walking after each other.
