Great move!! I guess this is why the PBC fighters refused to fight him. Al Haymon knew it was only a matter of time.
Ooh, this has to chap Pacquiao fans quite badly! Well, it is what many of us said should have happened years ago if he wasn't tied up in a slave contract with Top Rank.
No,no,no, I don't believe in that. If a fighter signs for a fight then the win is legit. I'm tired of people trying to cheat guys out of wins because they perceive some guy as old/shot. Manny Pacquiao does not seem to think that he is old if he keeps chasing paychecks through fighting.
How in the world does this story only have one thread with six comments on it?!? Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
There are ALWAYS excuses. Manny is old. But he is still Manny. Still a legend and still one of the most popular boxers in the world. A win over him has meaning.
So... instead of going out as grist for the Bud mill. He's going out as grist for the Spence, Porter and Thurman mills. Poor Manny, another one of these guys that just doesn't know when to say when.
I don't think he is THAT desperate. I can see him now, fighting at Sam's Town Casino doing the shoulder roll to bums. Might well carry bags like Mickey Bey at that point.
