How does the GGG vs Canelo fights compare with Pac vs JMM I, II, III?

Excluding KTFO6, I think both rivalries were similar to each other where all the fights were very closely fought although the decision results are considered controversial. In fact I think both rivalries are the most salt inducing between fanbases. Some people think that GGG should have won at least one or both fights against Canelo while people think JMM should have at least gotten a win or 2 against Pac. But it all boils down to the outcry of people that scream "ROBBERY".

What I find really interesting is that the people who think Canelo deserved the victory over GGG in the rematch are the same people that cry robbery about Marquez not getting a decision win over Pac.
    What do you think?

Good comparison. Both rivalries featured guys linked to doping (Drugnelo and Roidquez). The Good Guys (Pac and Golovkin) get screwed.

Boxing experts, those at ringside, analysts, fighters, trainers, mainstream media outlets, fans- all had Golovkin beating Canelo in their two fights with a minority claiming draw and smaller minority for a Canelo victory, while Pac and Marquez were pretty even in that regard.

Well all four fights were competitive. I think GGG v Canelo 1 is hard to give it to Canelo, GGG won that but on the other side I thought Pacquiao won the first Marquez fight, the three KDs resulting in a swing on my scoring though I had the actual rounds either 6-6 or 7-5 Marquez (been a while, I'd have to find my scoring somewhere).

Second fight was close in both rivalries, I had Pacquaio- again win via KD (scored it 6-6 everytime) and had GGG 8-4 over Canelo.

Ultimately the bigger star gets the nod (though Pacquiao wasn't mainstream in the first two fights, that came later, he was still a bigger draw than Marquez).

People will argue forever but I think when the fights happened the Pacquiao v Marquez fights tend to split opinion far more whereas GGG-Canelo was like 90/10 in favour of Golovkin in both fights from what I've seen.

    Did Pac fail a test?

Did Pac transform his body, increase his punching power, maintain his stamina and speed at 38 like Roidquez did and show up 2 fights later w/ hundreds of chest and back pimples?

He wanted 3 weeks out of no blood testing. 1 week, fight week, is staying loose. No hard training. Agreed to do blood test immediately after the fight and unlimited urine throughout camp. Are you saying that he would have juiced for 2 weeks and then cycled off in time for the fight?

Keep in mind that Pacquiao at the time was just as big of star, if not bigger, than Floyd.

Pacquiao agreed to take second billing, get on the scale first, come to the ring first, and be introduced first. Basically, he gave Floyd everything he wanted and wanted to meet in the middle for the cut off.

If Pac agreed to have his blood drawn anytime from start of fight announcement to three weeks out, how exactly is that fear of needles?

You could say Floyd turned down the fight over 7 days of testing (a wash w/ fight week). And Floyd was the one w/ the needle in his arm.

Rios, Algieri, and Margarito fights could have all easily been TKO victories. Pac started pulling his punches late against Rios and Margarito.
