They said they sent contracts but a contract based on BS is no contract at all. Just because they sent a so called contract doesn't it is worth the paper it was written on. Fact is the Fury fight was made and it was easy to make because it was based on mutual respect for a fighters right to be satisfied with the amount of money he was getting paid. What Wilder and his done was ask for a decent contract and he couldn't get that because of the fear that he would knock AJ out and they wouldn't be able to claim victory on no front.
In the post-fight interview after Povetkin, Joshua said he would be happy to fight Wilder next even if he lost to Fury. Joshua and team clearly want Wilder next.
Povetkin and Wlad both crush Wilder. Ortiz wasnt fit to fight the night he fought Wilder but DiBella kicked off and they got it to happen and Wilder was very nearly stopped but the dodgy ref saved him. Now we got a clearly not back to his best Fury. Cherry picking at its finest. Wilder can beat Joshua, its a 50-50 fight but styles make fights and both the Povetkin and Wlad that lost to Joshua would walk straight through Wilder and his gaping defence.
Wilder would knock out 40 year old Wlad inside 3 rounds but was struggling against Ortiz (who hasn't beaten a single top 5 opponent) and took 10 rounds to finish him. You're not making any sense.
Oh dear. You have fallen for their bull ****. Youve lapped up every word Finkel and DiBella have had to say. If there was mutual respect and the contract was good it wouldnt be held under a confidentiality clause. They seem to love to make anything and everything public that can be thrown at Hearn, a great contract between Fury and Wilder would be a big kick in the teeth for Hean but they are keeping it quiet, yet Warren and Fury and somebody else has let little bits slip and none of it sounds like it belongs to a great contract. My gut feeling is Wilder is going to earn less than 15 million for this fight. Although he claims he might make over 100 million.
Who was Buster Douglass before he knocked out Mike Tyson? Who was Casius Clay when he beat Liston. Why are you attributing statements to me that I didn't make. I never said inside three rounds ( but it's possible) I said sooner than AJ did. I thought you knew that every fight is different and that styles makes fights. You talking like Ortiz is chopped liver when in fact he was ducked by both AJ and Wlad.
You said all that to say what. Do you know anything for sure. Did you read the contract? You are speculating just like everybody else. I just happen to believe Wilder and you put your faith in Hearn.
This It's well known Wilder got dominated by Wlad in sparring and dropped at least twice, there is multiple eye witnesses and as a result Wilder was never interested in the fight. Shelly Winkle came out and said wilder "wasn't ready" to fight him while wilder later stated "i gots da wbc so klisco needa come to America to face me yo" you know, total BS trying to dictate to the king (sound familiar?) Wilder is ultimate smoke and mirrors, relying on americans who are desperate to have a heavyweight champ and people who just hate eddie hearns and will support whoever is on the other side. Wilder's career has been expertly managed, and this Fury fight is yet another example of this dragging a FINISHED fury out to take his "lineal" title that apparently you keep even if you fail drugs tests. I hope Hearn will be willing to give wilder a bit more than he deserves just so AJ can finish him and all his dumb ass "fans" can go hide under a rock for a while until the next great hype comes along.
It's a great fight (although Fury might put everyone to sleep) and whoever wins has the right, imho, to call themselves #1. This is mostly because they are fighting eachother. I think AJ has by far the better names though, and I'm with Inferno on this one - the Fury revisionism has been crazy. I do think Fury has the style to make any fights pedestrian, boring, and technical. Not the sort of things I like at all at Heavyweight. Same with Hughie. The WIlder fight is interesting because it really is a good example of technical ability meshing with raw heavyweight explosivity. Someone is going to look stupid no matter what happens. Either Wilder simply can't box, or Fury simply can't live with a genuine elite puncher.
It's always the same when ppl talk about wilder it's all will do this and would do that buts it's never he has done this or has done that. Wilder got schooled and dropped in sparring by wlad, didn't want to fight wlad but would end wlad.
Yes I did compare the Wlad and Ortiz because they were the hardest fights for both Wilder and AJ. Ortiz is not as good as Wlad, so that comparison is not correct. If you know boxing then you should know that. Resumes be dammed.[/QUOTE] It was you that said they were on par.
No.1 heavyweight? After a win over Fury? C'mon....only a Wilder fan boy would say such a thing. Fury is not even close to his 2015 form. Wilder only took this fight cuz he knows he's fighting a much weaker version of Tyson Fury.
Not officially. Finkel made a big loud public statement that made it very clear that fight wasnt guna happen. Sounds familiar.
