I’m a big Canelo fan but Golovkin got robbed twice against the Ginger drug cheat from Chivas Mejico that gets gift decisions on all his big fights.

    All of it.
Vanes just came for the payday, even if I don’t like Canelo and I think he is overrated, he is a very fast and skilful boxer with good chin and power (GGG got cut in the second round badly and decent bodyshots were landed by Canelo) so I think he decided that he is going to use his elite amateur skills and his world class jab and try to outland Canelo what actually he managed.

The rest is history. Interesting to watch GGG’s face before the scorecards. He knew he won, but he also knew that Canelo gonna get the decision.

That’s the reality. If he wants to beat Canelo he has to knock him out, and even if Golovkin is the better fighter at the age of 36-38 (God knows when the trilogy fight gonna happen) it’s nearly impossible for him now.

Also we all have to admit that these tales were all fake. “Dropped Kovalev, he needs 3 sparring partner a day” etc. etc.

But still one of the best middleweights of all time who unfortunately started too late in America, and you can tell that probably he is a very good guy outside the ring.

In the rematch Golovkin landed a total of 32 more punches than Canelo. That is an average of 2.6 punches more per round, and those punches were jabs. So GGG landed 2 and a half more jabs per round than Canelo. On the flip side Canelo landed 27 more POWER punches than Golovkin, landing an average of 2.25 more power on GGG.

Power punches should and are scored higher than jabs.

Add the fact that when scoring a pro fight you have to factor in defense which Canelo clearly won, and you have to actor in ring generalship and effective aggression.

Number of punches landed, not a scoring criteria.

Get life man, ur only hobby is trolling here. 90% percent of the boxing world thought GGG won or draw, but u are still barking here one month after the fight.

Be happy with those fake belts and 2 months from now and you can tell everyone that Canelo is a 3 division world champ, u clown.

GG would be x100000 times more likable if he had no fans at all. If I could say, "hey! look at this guy, he's p4p material! wow! he's good as F!!" without some telling me later that actually he's god, who came to earth so that he can knock out heavyweights in sparring and he will be the best p4p fighter of the galaxy of all times.

You're the one barking, I'm biting.

90% of the boxing world? LMAO? Desperate some? lol

Most boxing legends asked thought Canelo won. I'll take their side.

Funny how triggered you get when FACTS are thrown your way. lol

GGG needs to use a pro fighting style not an amateur fighting style. Yes, in the amateurs numbers of punches including jabs are counted and a hook to the head counts as much as a jab, but pro boxing is much more complex and subjective. Deal with those facts.

People, who ask "What happened to Golovkin's Mexican style?" judge the fight with bias from the beginning. Same with the people who judged the first fight based on Canelo saying he will go "toe-to-toe" with Golovkin.
You don't let the context of the fight influence your judging. You have to look at it as Fighter A vs Fighter B. not Golovkin vs Canelo.
When you start judging fights using their context, that's when your judging based on pre-fight expectations, and the fighter who achieves more of your expectations wins.

Another poor argument people give is, "X many legends agreed Canelo won the fight" or "X many people in the boxing media agreed Golovkin won the fight", you have to think for yourself and judge for yourself, you can't just base your opinion solely on the opinions of others.

"Look at the huge cut over Canelo's eye" or "Look at Golovkin's bruises on his face". There are no criteria in judging that mention amount of damage shown on the opponent's face. A fight isn't based on post-fight aesthetics.

And lastly, people who use punch stats are a huge eye-sore. The big flaw about these punch stat tools isn't their unreliability. It's the assumption that there 2 kinds of punches: Jabs and Power Punches. Punches that probe will get split, depending on what kind of probe it was, into either category. If it was a probing jab, it will be counted as a missed jab, and if it was any other kind of probing shot, it will be counted as a missed power punches. When you start viewing punches as all with the same intent, you start to not understand the fight. Punches have many different intents and purposes. The moment when people realize this is the moment where people will be able to properly watch boxing fights.

Gennady has done nothing wrong in my book. He earned my respect by the way he fought and conducted himself both in & out of the ring
Yes he did let Oscar & the NSAC/Vegas corruption rob him of two legitimate wins & his titles BUT he had no option. He knew like everyone else he was going to get shafted but at least he made a small fortune doing it
Every unbiased boxing person KNOWS who the legitimate Middleweight Champion of the World really is
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GENNADY GGG GOLOVKIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Canelo will be remembered as the cowardly PED's cheat who handed back a bogus title he did not have the cojones to defend So his own countrymen disowned him
