    Round 7

Benavidez is assembling himself into a defensive posture after walking halfway in, straightened up and holding a funky guard, palms out, thumbs an inch out each from his ears. Crawford is boxing carefully on the outside, making Benavidez swipe at him with hooks, falling into countering range and blasting him with speedy combos off the right jab. Crawford is stepping around, plunking quick body shots and darting out again, drawing Benavidez cautiously out to the perimeter. Quick right uppercut by Crawford leaping in, missing by a mile, but following up with a chopping left as Benavidez is winding up his own thoughtful-to-a-fault counter, both of them crashing into a clinch before the bell. Benavidez looks tired.

    10-9 Crawford

    69-64 Crawford

The only thing in Benivedez favor is that he can take a whoopin and keep on coming.

Benavidez has a boxing Frankenstein style. Where are the combos behind the jab. This dude should be better than this with that height and reach

This. Jose is getting too predictable and Crawford is timing Jose when Jose doesn't connect.

That right to the body is the key for Ben. Keep throwing it and throw the right, and he hit him at the end of the last round with a nice left.. Crawford is in a fight. What is helping Ben. out is his speed. Crawford is winning the rounds, but this bigger guy is landing. Crawford might be trying to impress the crowd in his hometown. Win the fight. This guy could land something. If I were in Ben's corner.. throw the right to the body and the left hook after to the head and the counter right to the head mixed with the body..
