Tyson Fury the most naturally gifted fighter ever?

Not saying the greatest even though I believe he has a a strong claim

But in terms of natural ability I feel he is the most gifted fighter ever his movement his jab and his ring iq I never seen anyone remotely close to how talented he is.

Fury's only issue was losing motivation when after wlad he has been boxing since he could walk he has been boxing a very long time

Jury still out for me. Only thing that ever impressed me about Fury before the Wlad fight was how mobile he was for such a big man. But as for his fights i thought he was good but never thought hed be a world champ. I wouldnt call what he did Luck against Wlad but i just think all the stars aligned for him in that one. He had the tools to neutralize Wlad and won by pinching the rounds on very little point scoring work. Until he can show hes got the tools to do the same to other heavyweights who have a very different mindset and attitude to Wlad.

If he beats Wilder i will have to change my view on that.

The win over Wlad is the one that has really made me question if i have been underrating Fury, but i just need to see another one before i am convinced. Beating Wilder will do that, and dont get me wrong i do like Fury alot so i hope he does it. The win over Chisora was a very good win but were talking Wlads and Wilders here, Wlad was a win at the highest level. Chisora doesnt sit at that table. I need 1 more outstanding performance.

 

Fury is not at his best now which makes the win once he beats wilder even more better

 

Fury did some lovely boxing in the Wlad fight. Nobody can take that away from him. If he can find that form again, it's a hard nights work for any HW past or present.

 

Worse heavyweight championship fight I have ever seen. It was proof how far the heavyweight division has regressed. The Jack Johnson fights had more boxing skills between the combatants.

When his brain is working properly he is very head strong and hard to beat.

 

He is the most technically gifted and best pure boxer in the HW division right now.

He isn't THAT Athletically gifted because he doesn't have alot power but he is very well coordinated with quick reflexes and good balance.


All time p4p? Hell no.

But at HW? Yeah maybe. Imo the most athletic Heavies were for example Douglas tucker Lewis ruddock Ali Dempsey Wlad Wilder and Fury.
Ruddock had technical weaknesses
Wlad and Douglas had mental weaknesses.
But all of them very talented
